What is Upward
Bound?• Upward Bound is a comprehensive academic college
preparation and retention program.
• Upward Bound serves 125 students from San Diego North
County High Schools
• A GRANT funded program providing FREE services for
participants
• A program that prepares high school students to be accepted to
a 4 year university following high school graduation.
Who Can Join?• Those attending one of the
target high schools:
• Orange Glen High School
• San Pasqual High School
• Escondido High School
• Del Lago Academy
• San Marcos High School
• Oceanside High School
• El Camino High School
• Rancho Buena Vista High School
• Vista High School
• Fallbrook High School
Who can join? (cont.)• Low-income and/or first-generation (parents/guardians do
not have a Bachelor’s Degree)
• On “A-G” college bound track

How Do I Apply?
All applications must be complete with:
• Copy of Social Security Card or Permanent Resident Card
• Copy of most recent parent/guardian taxes or income letter
• Middle School transcript
• Fill out the Interest Sheet with your contact information
and Upward Bound will contact you!
