• It starts HERE, Tonight• Get educated.• Ditch the “not my kid”
mentality.• Have “the talk” OFTEN.• Say NO to drugs and
alcohol for your kids. Zero tolerance.
• Practice prevention but recognize the signs and symptoms of substance use.
• Talk to neighbors, friends, family, teachers, coaches, counselors.
• Share the situation with others – chances are they are familiar and can help.
• Tap this network – the ones on stage.
• Drug test, if you’re unsure.• Take care of yourself and
other family members.• Be prepared for the
journey.
