• Youmustchargeyourbatteryfor18-30hoursbefore you use your vehicle for the first time.Werecommendchargingyourbatterybeforebeginningassembly.PleaseseetheBatteryChargingsectionfordetailedinstructions.

• YourPowerWheels®12voltbatteryisequippedwithabuilt-inthermalfuse.Thethermalfuseisaself-resettingsafetydevicewhichautomatically“trips”andshutsdownoperationofthevehicleifthevehicleisoverloadedorthedrivingconditionstoosevere.Onceafusehas“tripped”,removeyourfootfromthepedalandwaitapproximately25secondsbeforeoperatingthevehicleagain.Toavoidrepeatedautomaticshut-downs,avoidseveredrivingconditions.

•Plugthechargerconnectorintothebatterysocket.•Plugthechargerintoastandardwalloutlet.Notes:-Ifpowerflowtothewalloutletiscontrolledbyaswitch,makesuretheswitchis“ON”.
-Usethechargeronlyinawalloutlet.Donotplugthechargerintoaceilingoutlet.
•Beforechargingthebattery,examinethebatterycaseforcracksandotherdamagewhichmaycausesulfuricacid(electrolyte)toleakduringthechargingprocess.Ifdamageisdetected,donotchargethebatteryoruseitinyourvehicle.Batteryacidisverycorrosiveandcancauseseveredamagetosurfacesitcontacts.
•Donotplacethebatteryonasurface(suchaskitchencountertops)whichcouldbedamagedbytheacidcontainedinsidethebattery.Takeprecautionstoprotectthesurfaceonwhichyouplaceyourbattery.
•Chargethebatteryinawellventilatedarea.•Oncethebatteryischarged,disconnectthebatteryconnectorfromthechargerconnector.Unplugthechargerfromthewalloutlet.RefertotheBatteryInstallationsectionforinstructionsoninstallingyourbattery.Ifyourbatteryisalreadyinstalledinyourvehicle,simplyre-connectthemotorharnessconnectortothebattery.
•Youdonotneedtoremovethebatteryfromyourvehicletorechargeit.
