Legacy Commitment
As we draw to the end of Our Legacy Commitment
II and look forward to starting Our Legacy Commit-
ment III, the response so far has been very encour-
aging! We mailed out pledge cards at the end of
November and to date have 85 households pledging
a total of $64,586! The average household pledge is
just over $750!
The pledges break down as follows:
Up to $249 – 28 households
$250 - $999 – 33 households
$1000 - $2499 – 19 households
$2500 - $9999 – 4 households
$10,000 – 1 household
Our principal loan balance is currently at $160,000.
Since January 2014, we have paid $325,000 on the
principal due to your very generous pledges to our
first two campaigns.
With over 1100 registered households, if each of the
1000 households who have not pledged would
pledge just $100, this is the year that we could cross
the finish line and debt-free!
If you have not yet pledged towards Our Legacy
Commitment III, we encourage you to send in your
pledge card today or contact Mary Wishneski for
further information or assistance in establishing your
pledge.
According to Dave Ramsey, we all need a plan for
our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that
plan! It teaches God's ways of handling money.
Through video teaching, class discussions and inter-
active small group activities, FPU presents biblical,
practical steps to get you from where you are to
where you've dreamed you could be.
This plan will show you how to get rid of debt,
manage your money, spend and save wisely, and
much more!
The next session will begin on Wednesday, February
17, and will continue every Wednesday until April
13. The class will meet at the Schneider Parish Cen-
ter from 6:00-8:00pm.
Please, take this step for you and your family and
become a member of this FPU class. One way to find
out more information, or to register for the class, is to
visit the website, www.daveramsey.com or email
your Stewardship Committee Chairperson at
WEATHER ADVISORY
Other Parishes in Chester County have instituted a
policy, that if the local school district is closed or on
a delay, due to inclement weather, the daily Morning
Mass is cancelled.
In conformity with these parishes, if the Octorara
School District is closed or delayed due to inclement
weather, the daily Mass at OLC will be cancelled.
The Mass for that day will be rescheduled on the
next available weekday.
We want our parishioners to be safe.
Please pray for the soul of Peter Blanck and for the
souls of the faithful departed.
May they rest in peace in the kingdom of God.

access.

plain the Catholic faith, explore the deepest meaning
of marriage, receive Bible studies on a variety of top-
ics and includes inspiring audio talks.
OLC-ELC will begin celebrating Catholic Schools
Week with an Open House today; after the 11:00am
Mass at the Schneider Parish Center. Those interest-
ed in enrolling their children in preschool classes for
the 2016-17 school year may visit with our staff and
tour the classrooms.
We have a variety of programs available; including
before/after care, extended-day options and enrich-
ment programs. Registration is open to all current
preschool families and parishioners.
Registration will open to the public in February.
“My husband saw a video about the OLC ELC during
a Mass when our twins were only 6 months old. He
came home from church that day and said that he was
excited that someday our twins would attend such a
great sounding program. Fast forward 2-1/2 years
and one of the greatest blessings in our lives is that
our now three year old twins are part of the OLC
ELC family. The love, the compassion, the
knowledge, the professionalism, the learning, the ex-
ploring, the socializing, the FUN that this program
offers has far exceeded our desires for our children
when it comes to their
future and every day growth and development. We
fell in love with this program early on and would rec-
ommend it to anyone and everyone! No need to
search around when you come across this faithful
group of people who teach with hearts of gold. So
blessed to call them our teachers and friends.

Save the Date!…OLC-ELC will host its annual St.

Hope to see you there!

The Catholic Adult Faith Enrichment (CAFÉ) team will be offering a Lenten Bible Study on Tuesday
evenings from 7:00-8:00pm in Classroom 2 at the SPC. The study will run from February 9 through March
15, and is an excellent opportunity to help you better appreciate the readings that you will hear at Sunday
Mass throughout Lent. It is also a chance to share your Lenten experiences with others as we journey through
the season together.
There is no cost for this class, and you may attend just an occasional session or all six. If you are not free on
Tuesday nights but would like to participate at home, we can easily send a copy of the handout to you.
