Bienvenue.
Le Havre,a modern metropolis.
In 2005, the city known as the Ocean Gateway becameone of the select handful of cities to achieve UNESCOWorld Heritage Site status. Over the years, Le Havre hasadded to its attractions with imaginative projects such asthe Historic Show Flat, the Bains des Docks, the HangingGardens, the Cruise Welcome Centre and the vast retailand leisure complex of the Vauban Docks, and mostrecently, by floodlighting the North Sea Wall. Each ofthese media-acclaimed projects makes its own specialcontribution to the city's quirky, many-faceted charm.
Ideas are catching, and the Pointe de Caux area as awhole has an ambitious programme for the next fewyears. Projects due to come onstream in 2012 include atramway, a new hotel overlooking the marina, and a bigstadium. This modern maritime metropolis linking Paris tothe Atlantic, where architects Niemeyer and Nouvel havefollowed in Perret's footsteps, has a wealth of attractionsto offer, from its port and city centre to its cultural assets(the Malraux Museum, whose collection of Impressionistpaintings is the second biggest in France, celebrates its50th anniversary in 2011).
The Tourist Office can organize a wide range of activities, from conferences, trade fairs and seminars to guided toursand onshore excursions for cruise passengers. Let us knowyour needs, and we will do our best to organize suitableactivities and make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

More and more Europeans are choosing cruises. To meet this rapidly-growing demand, Le Havre has opened a brand-new Cruise Terminal. Inaddition to its reception and services areas, the Terminal has fully-equipped turnaround facilities, with check-in counters, a baggage handlingarea and a baggage scanner. Cruises are an increasingly popular holiday choice, and Le Havre is a handy starting-point for a cruise in NorthernEurope.
Costa Cruises is running a series of eleven cruises out of Le Havre. During their ten-day cruise on board the Costa Magica, passengers will visitthe great north European cities of Paris, London Amsterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Oslo and Edinburgh. In 2012, Costa will be installing a turnaround in Le Havre for cruises on board one of the gems of its fleet, the dazzling new Costa Deliziosa. Cunard also planned a boarding on Queen Elizabeth on the occasion of her journey around the world in January 2012.
