Operations Associate Ramah Darom
Summary: The Operations Associate supports the operations of Camp Ramah Darom and Ramah Darom Retreats in the Atlanta office and, during the summer, at Ramah Darom’s Clayton campus. The Operations Associate reports to the Director of Business Operations and works closely with the lead staff of each area supported to ensure successful operations in areas assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support
• Direct administrative support to Camp Director: scheduling appointments, ensure timely response to inquiries and requests, and other support as needed
• Assistance in preparation for Committee Meetings, Zoom/Conference Calls, and programs and events as needed
• Work with Assistant Director to plan Recruitment Calendar/events with local community partners • Scheduled mailing of B’nai Mitzvah gifts, Birthday Cards, and other recurring customer
stewardship efforts • Provide administrative support to Retreats, Rentals, Marketing, Development and Finance depts
as needed • Digitizing and archiving seasonal reports on campers and program at season’s end • Respond to electronic and phone inquiries regarding Ramah Darom programs, assisting
prospective customers with basic information and passing leads to Directors for follow-up. • Assist with Camp and Retreat registrations and guest relations • Additional projects as required
Communication
• Provide support to Camp Director in managing communication (phone and email) • Assist with electronic and hard-copy mailings to camper families, staff members
and other constituents • Prepare and send targeted communication related to local recruitment events, programs
and other community visits
Administration of Camp and Retreat staff hiring
• Ensure responsive and efficient communication with Camp and Retreat staff applicants • Review all aspects of applications for Camp staff positions: screen applications, verify
references, schedule interviews • Ensure inputting of accurate hiring information into database management system and, once
hired, send contracts and forms for both Camp and Retreat staff • Manage receipt of contracts and related employment/medical forms from hired Camp and
Retreat staff • Facilitate background checks for all Camp and Retreat staff
Additional Summer Responsibilities:
• Manage reception desk coverage schedule and staff reception desk (1 shift per day) • Arrange tours and coordinate follow up • Assist Camp Registrar and Guest Relations Coordinator as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The desired candidate must be extremely detail oriented, great with follow-up and follow-through and holds confidentiality as a core value. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively and also possess the capacity to take independent initiative in problem solving and work plan development. We are looking for a hard-working, non-clock watcher who understands the value of supporting others.
Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and Data Management tools.
JOB LOCATION
• Atlanta, GA office from August through May • Entire summer (June through early August), plus occasional non-summer days,
in residence at Ramah Darom campus in Clayton, GA (full room and board provided) • Onsite support in Clayton for at least one weekend retreat each year
