• The lessor uses the ITC (Investment Tax Credit) to lower monthly payments • Payments are about a third lower than a Capital Lease (Loan) • Payments approximate a utility bill • Lessee can own the system at the end or upgrade to a newer one • Lessee gets free electricity after purchasing the system

Transaction size • > $50,000

Term • Up to 10 year amortization with a lien on the system only • Up to 20 year amortization with second lien on real estate

Payments • Fixed monthly payments

Incentives • Lessee keeps incentives - PBI (Production Based Incentive) - SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Credit) - Utility rebates

Construction • Lessor provides construction financing

Maintenance • Lessee maintains the system

Insurance • Lessee maintains insurance

End of term • Lessee can purchase the system at the end of the lease for its fair market value • Fair market value can be predetermined to lock in the purchase price • Renew the lease • Return the system
