Premier’s Reading Challenge
Ethan and Susannah represented Golden Grove Primary School at the Premier’s
Reading Challenge Reception for 2019. Our school was selected for achieving
outstanding participation in the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
The Reception was held at The Sanctuary, Adelaide Zoo. Susannah and Ethan
received a school certificate and selection of books for our school as part of the
presentation from the Premier Steven Marshall and the Minister of Education John
Gardner. They also got to meet PRC Ambassadors such as South Australian author Phil
Cummings.

Congratulations to our 2019 Children’s University
Graduates. We had 26 of our Year 4 to Year 7
students attend the ceremony at Adelaide
University, Bonython Hall.
These students have demonstrated a
committed attitude to pursue their interests and
extra hours of learning outside of school.
The graduation is a celebration to
acknowledge their efforts.
Details for 2020 CUA will be sent home with interested students, in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to our extraordinary performing artists who entertained us
during their Performing Arts Showcase on Friday. This was an opportunity
to celebrate and acknowledge their year of commitment and dedication.
As always, we send a
huge thank you to Mr
Mac for his amazing
work and all that he
brings to our school to
immerse us in the Arts.

congratulate them on their selection and their performances.

Backpacks for SA Kids
Our school has been a supporter of Backpacks for SA
Kids in recent years - you may remember our huge
collection of goods in 2016.
Two of our students recently put further support behind
this organisation by asking their friends to donate
goods in lieu of birthday presents when they held their
joint 6th birthday party. The generosity of the party
guests was overwhelming and Jack and Charlotte
were able to present the charity with a range of goods
to support children across SA.
Well done Jack and Charlotte!
