Gymnastics Ontario is excited to introduce the new Level 3‐5 competitive program for the 2015‐2016 season. Here is an overview for the structure: Invitational – all sanctioned competitions within the May 1‐June 30th, 2016 time frame are
considered invitational only competitions – any ODP only competition – all Level 1‐2 and all age 7 & 8 year olds are considered Invitational athletes only – athletes can still be registered as a Level 6‐10 Invitational athlete – 2 judges per panel (secured by host club) Level 3‐5 Qualifying Competitions at Invitationals – Level 3‐5 athletes will pay the same program fee as an Invitational athlete in
ivr.net – all athletes in Level 3‐5 are allowed to compete at any Level 3‐5 competition,
however only an athlete’s first 3 competitions scores will count towards qualification for the Level 3‐5 Ontario Championships.
– all athlete’s scores in Levels 3‐5 will be automatically entered into the ranking list and will be eligible to qualify for the Level 3‐5 Ontario Championships
– athletes are only required to register and compete at a minimum of two competitions (as only two scores are required to be eligible for Level 3‐5 Ontario Championships (same qualification process as the Level 6‐10 qualifiers to Ontario Championships)
– any scores after the April 30‐May 1, 2016 weekend will not be eligible as a qualifying score
– mobility to a higher level is allowed – once an athlete moves up a level and competes/ has a score at a higher level
they can only be eligible for Ontario Championships at the higher level (and if they have two scores at that level)
– club registration and competition management will remain with the host club and communicated on the GO website and through the clubs call to competition
– it is each club’s responsibility to secure their own qualifying competitions as well as to find any additional (“make‐up”) competitions
Level 6‐10 Optional Qualifiers – register athletes by age and categories for season. Categories for Ontario
Championships will be determined shortly after registration deadline.
