Omaha Kroc Enhancement ProjectGroundbreaking Ceremony
THURSDAY, JULY 7, 10AMThe ceremony, held on the Kroc Center’s Festival Plaza,
will be followed by light refreshments. All are invited.
Interview with Kroc MembersJim and John ProutyJim Prouty is a Kroc Center member who is a regular in Zumba and he enjoys Sunrise Splash to start his day. John Prouty, Jim’s brother and fellow Kroc member, also enjoys Sunrise Splash and Aqua Zumba because they help his legs and the instructors keep the routines fresh. We asked for their thoughts on the project:
Kroc When you heard about the Enhancement Project what was your first thought?
Jim/John Where’s the money going to come from?
Kroc You’re not alone! It’s one of the top questions we get. The money is coming specifically from remaining funds from the Ray and Joan Kroc estate, earmarked for capital projects.
Kroc What changes are you looking forward to?
Jim I’m looking forward to the new water slide, the walking track, and the larger rooms. Taking the Grandkids is only going to get better!
Kroc Is there any aspect of the project that worries you?
Jim/John We know the Pool will have schedule adjustments and we’ll have the normal construction detours.
Kroc Is there anything else you would like to share?
Jim I’m happy and in shape, a 70 year old dancing Grandpa, thanks to my Kroc Membership. The Kroc Center is a first class place and I can’t wait to see the new construction that will make this great place, greater.
