It is always exciting to have a combined meeting with the Rotaractors, they are always full of energy and hope. Being a new club they are certainly finding their way by the number of fund raisings they are achieving. They are organising a Pyjamas Trivial Night and need sponsors for raffle prices, if any members that wishes to do so, please contact me immediately. It would be good if we can give them support. Those attending District Conference, please wear your club t-shirt on Saturday for club roll call. Smart casual for events and bring a jacket for the cool evenings. Lastly, I regret to inform everyone that Paul Boles has resigned and the board has accepted his resignation. It is always sad to see a member leaves but Paul cannot see that he is able to attend meeting in the foreseeable future. We wish him all the best and he is always welcome in our club .

Our Rotaract visitors
Thoughts for the week Paddy was in a big TV quiz show and had reached the final question. “Which of these birds does not live in a nest. The raven, pigeon cuckoo or sparrow?” asked the compare. Padyy was allowed to ring a friend so called Mick who assured him it was the cuckoo. It won Paddy the first prize. The next day they were having a drink together rand Paddy asked Mick how he knew the answer. “Everybody knows that cuckoos live in clocks ,” said Mick. What do you call a monkey in a minefield? A Baboom! A professor is someone who talks in someone else’s sleep. My wife’s preference is for chequebooks. Once she starts she can’t put one down until it is finished. “It’s a business doing pleasure with you,” said the hooker accepting her fee. Chooks are the only things you can eat before they are born and after they are dead. “I say old chap , who is Fonsonby talking to?” “He is talking to himself”. “Then why is he shouting?” “He’s deaf.” She told the lawyer she wanted a divorce. “On what grounds,” he asked. “Bigamy,” she replied. “He can’t have his Kate and Edith too.”
