All Applicants are requested to note that, if they fail to submit the required
documents in Original as per the Application Form during Final
verification, their candidature shall be cancelled and be allotted to other
eligible candidate(s) and no claim shall be entertained thereafter on
whatever grounds.
Further, the List is prepared without verifying the hardcopies of all relevant
documents as majority of applicants had applied Online, any anomaly
detected subsequently as to the Eligibility/Minimum
percentage/NET/JRF/SLET/SET/M.Phil/Category, etc. for Admission as
per the MSSV Rules and Regulations shall entail the cancellation of
admission.

Notification.
C. DETAILED INFORMATION ON MSSVRAT-2020 (September) along with Schedule:
1. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
(i) Selection of candidates for admission shall be made on the basis of the MSSVRAT.
(ii) MSSVRAT shall comprise of two parts: Written and Viva Voce.
(iii) The written examination of MSSVRAT shall be held on the following:
a. Paper I: Research Methodology (50 marks):- MCQ.
b. Paper II: Subject concerned (50 marks):- Descriptive.
(iv) The qualifying marks of the written examination are 50% in each paper.
(v) The list of shortlisted candidates for Viva-Voce shall be put on the Notice Board of the
University and also in the website of the University www.mssv.co.in. Information to the
candidates shall not be conveyed individually. The shortlisted candidates along with
MSSVRAT (Written) Exempted candidates need to appear in the Viva Voce as per the
schedule notified by the University.
(vi) The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET-JRF including
SLET/SET/GATE or passed M.Phil. Degrees in the concerned subject (In Regular
Mode only) are exempted from the written examination of MSSVRAT-2020
(September). However, they shall have to appear in the Viva-voce examination.

(vii) The minimum marks for clearing the MSSVRAT shall be 50. However, for the final
selection of a candidate, 50 per cent weightage will be given to performance in the
written entrance test and 50 per cent to the Viva-Voce. The Departments shall prepare
the list of eligible candidates for admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D. Pre-registration
Course Work on the basis of the MSSVRAT Score, Marks/Grade of the PG
Examination, Viva-Voce performance and other criterion as deemed fit by the
University.
(viii) For MSSVRAT (Written) exempted candidates, selection shall be done based on their
performance in the Viva-Voce.
(ix) Candidates need to bring valid Photo-ID card for appearing in the MSSVRAT-2020
(Written) and Viva-Voce.
(x) Validity of the MSSVRAT score shall be valid only for the notified MSSVRAT of a
particular academic session.
