This show will be run under RAS Rules and has adopted
the RAS Yellow Card system.
LIABILITY
The Organising Committee accepts no liability for any
accident, damage, injury or illness to ponies, horses,
owners, riders, handlers, grooms or spectators, or to
any other personal property whatsoever.
Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals
at all times and shall be liable for any hazards created or
accident, illness or damage caused by the action of
themselves or their animals at the Showgrounds.
Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate Animal
Legislation and the Health and Safety in Employment
Act 1992.
FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCES
• The attention of the exhibitors is particularly drawn to
the conditions relating to the misuse of drugs and the
intention of the committee to undertake testing for
forbidden substances. Your signature on the entry form
and/or participation in the competition denotes your
acceptance of these conditions.
SUBSTITUTIONS
• Substitutions of any entry can only be made at the
discretion of the show committee.
GENERAL
• NO DOGS are permitted on the mystery creek
grounds.
• All stallions/colts must be boxed when not competing
& display a (s) badge on the exhibit at all times.
• Once judging starts for the day, rings can only be used
whilst judging.
• The committee reserves the right to amalgamate or
split classes depending upon number of entries
received.
• If a horse or pony misbehaves to the extent that it
unduly disturbs other competitors it will be asked to
leave the ring.
• The Senior Steward in charge may, at their discretion,
transfer an entry to its appropriate class where it is
found to be wrongly entered. Advice to be given to the
Secretary’s office
• All exhibits in ridden classes must be 3 years old and
over.
• A Horse entered in the Newcomer section may enter
in the open section.
• Novice ponies may be ridden by an adult in the
Newcomer section. Adults may only compete on a pony
in the newcomer section
• ALL competitors must park their floats and trucks in
the area designated for this purpose – NO EXCEPTIONS.
•Competitors may ride more than one horse or pony in
title classes with the exception of Lead Rein and First
Ridden titles. Another rider must be available to allow
the judges to work the class together, if necessary. Any
horse/pony not parading on the circle as required will
be eliminated.
GENERAL
• Number holders are compulsory. Competitors to
supply their own numbers
• No classes will be held for a competitor or exhibit
competing in another ring.
• Start times are approximate only, but will be adhered
to as closely as possible.
• Protest : All objections or protests must be lodged
within an hour of the class accompanied with a $50 fee
to the head steward.
• The yellow card system will be used at this show if
necessary. Unacceptable behaviour towards other
competitors, stewards, judges and officials will not be
tolerated.
• As in accordance with HOY rules, all competitors must
be NZ citizens or resided in NZ for the six months prior
to the show, no exceptions.
•All open, newcomer and paced and mannered classes
will have a free two minute work out. Competitors
must show walk/ trot/canter on both reins and some
lengthened trot and canter in all sections, workout
must not exceed two minutes or will be stopped.
Riders must halt and present to judges halfway along
the arena and proceed with two minute workout,
riders must finish with a halt in front of the judge and
leave arena when judging completed.
• Workouts will be supplied for Led, Lead Rein, First
Ridden and Rider classes.
• Judging of Grand Champion Ridden Exhibit will be in
the main indoor arena, all finalists will be required to
complete a free two minute workout for the judges,
then exhibits will be stripped and trotted out for
judging. Each competitor is allowed ONE groom only
in the holding area and arena.
ENTRIES
Entries received post dated after 10th October 2014 will
incur a 50% penalty, no exceptions. Late entries will be
accepted up until 5.00pm 16th October 2014. NO LATE
ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SHOW DAY.
• All entries and other fees to be paid in full at time of
entry or entry will not be accepted. Purchase of
Catalogue is compulsory.
• The cost of Catalogues must be paid for with entries.
Catalogues will be available from 7.30am on show
morning.
• A copy of a current height certificate for horse or pony
must be carried and presented to the head steward at
the ring prior to the class starting & entering the ring or
entry will be refused, with no refund.
• Newcomers must carry a copy of their performance
card with them on show day. The definition of
newcomer – classes for horses or ponies that began the
current season (2014/2015) as a novice. They may have
competed in the open section.
• Refunding entry fee. 50% of the entry fee will be
refunded on the presentation of a Doctor’s or
Veterinarian’s Certificate prior to 8.30am on show day
and will be paid out one month after the show.
• Any contact with judges via social media will not be
tolerated .
•The committee reserve the right to refuse or cancel
any entry or refund without adjudicating any reason for
doing so.
• Prize Money may be substituted for prizes at the
discretion of the show committee. If less than 3 entries
in a class, prize money may only be paid to 1st placing at
the discretion of the show committee
STABLING/CAMPING/COMPETITOR PASS
Stable fees/Ground Levies/Camping
• Yard fees charged by Equidays are $15 per yard per
night. Please leave your yards clean on departure.
• Refunds will be given where yards cannot be
provided.
• Camping – Free, $25 per site for powered sites for
duration of show. Shower and toilet block is available
• All manure must be placed in bins supplied. Bring your
own tools to muck out.
Competitors passes
One day passes:
One horse/pony = $25 and you get 2 x day passes
Two horses/ponies = $35 and you get 2 x day passes
Three horses/ponies = $45 and you get 3 x day passes
Three day passes:
One horse/pony = $60 and you get 2 x 3 day passes
Two horses/ponies = $75 and you get 2 x 3 day passes
Three horses/ponies = $90 and you get 3 x 3 day passes
Gates open every day of show at 6.30am and entrance
is via gate # 1 , no access prior to this time unless
overnight camping has been purchased.

Lead Rein Combinations in this section may not enter any other section. Lead Rein ponies not to exceed 128cm. Riders must be 7 years and under. Ponies are to be led by an adult 16 years and over. The leading rein is to be attached to the noseband of a snaffle bridle. Ponies will be asked to walk and trot, no cantering under any circumstances. Ponies can enter either show pony or saddle hunter class not both.

First Ridden First Ridden Ponies not to exceed 138cm and must be ridden in a bridle with a single rrein. This section is for riders under 10 years old that have not competed in an open section at any A&P or RAS affiliated show. A First Ridden Pony may compete in the open ring with a different rider. All ponies to walk and trot in company but may be asked to canter in their individual workout. The same combination cannot enter in both Lead Rein section and First Ridden but a pony that has been entered in Lead Rein section can be entered in First Ridden with a different rider. Ponies can either enter the show pony or saddle hunter class not both. Riders can only compete on one pony.
