2019 Eureka Rally Rush
On behalf of the Andrews Labor Government, welcome to Ballarat, an iconic regional city and home of the 2019 Eureka Rally Rush.
Victoria lives and breathes sport, and no one puts on a show like we do.We love motor sports and are proud to host the biggest four and two-wheel events in Australia including the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Winton V8 SuperSprint and Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Over the next few days some of our nation’s best rally teams will be putting their cars and skills to the test in challenging terrain in the quest to secure top honours and a coveted start in the World Rally Championship.
This year the Eureka Rally Rush will include a ‘Super Special Stage’ which will provide a chance for spectators to catch all the action as the best compete at night, under lights in the Ballarat West Employment Zone.
The Government is proud to be investing in what makes Ballarat a great place to live, work and visit and we will continue to deliver for the region.
Events like these present a great opportunity to showcase our fantastic regions and that’s why we’re proud to have locked in the Eureka Rally Rush through the $17.7 million Significant Sporting Events Program.More than 500 events have been funded through the Significant Sporting Events Program and more than half of those events were held in regional Victoria, boosting local jobs and economies.
While in Ballarat I encourage you to experience some of the award-winning attractions that the region has to offer, including Sovereign Hill, Kryal Castle and the Ballarat Wildlife Park. Foodies can enjoy the region’s top-quality produce showcased in the cafes and restaurants found along the streets and laneways in town. The area also has a thriving culture and arts scene.
I wish all competitors the very best of luck and hope everyone enjoys this year’s Eureka Rally Rush.
