Appointment of multiple auditors for a company
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Enhancements have been made to allow users to appoint multiple auditors for a company.
This can be done by selecting a joint member as an auditor. The joint members’ name,
address and registration number will be shown for each representative.
In the Home |People Add/Edit screen, select two or more people who will be appointed at
the same time and click on the Add Representatives button .
A confirmation message will appear to confirm whether a new joint member should be
created. Click Yes. A new person will be added as a joint member with the names of the
persons selected within the surname field. Click save to add the new person.
To appoint a new joint auditor to the company, go to Home | Company Selection and select
a company.
After selecting a company, go to Changes and Documents | Other Changes | Auditor. Use
the magnifying glass next to New Auditor and select the new joint member created. A new
icon “Multiple Auditor Details” will display the details of the joint members, and allow users
to enter individual registration numbers.
If a previous auditor was appointed, a reason of cessation needs to be selected.

To print the relevant documents, click on “Print Documents” on the right side of the screen
and users can either preview, print or export the selected documents.
On the Directors’ and Members’ Meeting Minute/Resolution, the document will show the
details of the appointment/resignation of the joint member separately.

Process dividend statement for multiple share types
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Users can now add dividends quicker by selecting multiple share types at a time. Users will
need to activate this function from Administration | Defaults | Dividend Statements tab |
Select “Allow multiple dividend statements” | Save.
To generate multiple dividends for a company, select a company via Company selection,
then go to Annual Documents | Dividend Statements.
Click on New . A message will appear that asks “Do you want to create multiple dividend
statements for different share types?”.
Yes will take you to the Issued Shares search screen to select multiple share types. Clicking
No will take you straight to the Dividend processing screen.
Once the Issued Shares search screen opens, users can select more than one share type.
After selecting the required share types, click on the blue tick icon.
The dividend processing screen will appear to process the dividend for the first share type.

After saving the dividend, the next screen will come up for the next share type, with the
same date declared, dividend amount and franked amount. Users will need to ensure all the
details are correct before saving the dividends.
A progress bar on the top right will indicate the number of share types being processed.
After processing dividends for each share type, users will then be able to proceed to print
dividend statements and relevant documents.

Split dividends to different payment methods
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Enhancements have been made to allow users to split dividends paid into different payment
methods.
The following payment methods are:
• Cash
• Credited to loan account
• Other.
To process a split dividend payment, after a company is selected, go to Annual Documents |
Dividend Statements. Click New . This should open the Dividend processing modal.
A new Dividend payment has been added to the drop down box: Split payment.
Upon selecting the split payment method, three additional fields will be activated to allow
users to enter the amount that is split between different types.

The total between be three split payments should equal the total dividend amount entered.
If this is not equal an error message will appear upon saving the new dividend.
The Directors Minute/Resolution, Members Meeting Minute/Resolution, Notice of Meeting
and Dividend statements will show the split between the two payments.

Company In/Out: Drag and Drop function
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Enhancements have been made to allow users drag and drop a Company In file to import
into CAS.
Company imports can be done in the Home tab | Company In/Out screen.
Under the Company in subtab, on the right-hand side of the screen, an area is created to
allow users to drag and drop either a ZIP or CMY file of the company out data into the drop
zone without requiring to select the file using the yellow folder icon.
Once a file is dropped into the drop zone, a client will need to be selected. Click on the
green plus icon to add the companies into the list of companies to be imported. After the
list is complete, click on the import icon to import the companies added.

Display consideration paid on Combined Minutes/Resolutions
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
A new default option has been added to allow users to display consideration paid on
Minutes and Resolutions, whether it be combined or individual.
To activate the setting, go to Administration | Defaults | Documents/Letters tab | Document
Options 1 subtab | Tick “Print consideration paid on minute/resolutions”. This change will be
implemented across all companies.
Users can also make a once off change to either include or exclude the consideration paid in
the print screen of the documents.
An example would be to generate a combined Minute/Resolution through Changes and
Documents | Other Documents | Combined Minutes/Resolutions.

On the right-hand side of the screen, go to Document Options.
“Print consideration paid on minute/resolution?” option can also be found here. It will
either be ticked or unticked as per default option. Any changes made in this screen will be a
once off change. Once the user exits the Combined Minutes/Resolution screen, the option
will go back to the default option.
After processing the changes, generate the Minute/Resolution and if there are member
changes included, the consideration will be displayed.

Bonus shares
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Users can now indicate which share/unit transactions are bonus issues.
A new option has been added to flag a transaction to be an issue of Bonus shares/units. This
option is available if users add the following transactions:
• Member Balances
• Allotments
To add a bonus issue of shares, go to Changes and Documents | Members |
Allotments/Members balance | Tick Bonus issue.
To add a bonus issue of units, go to Changes and Documents | Other Changes | Unitholders
| Highlight a trust and click on Next | Click on the New icon | Allotments/Balance | Tick
Bonus issue.

After the transaction is flagged as a Bonus issue and the transaction is saved, in the
Members/Unitholders screen, the transaction will be displayed in Purple to indicate that it is
a Bonus issue.
New text paragraphs have been added to display the details of the bonus issue on the
Directors/Members Minute/Resolution. The members register has also been enhanced to
show any transactions that are from bonus issues are to be displayed with a + icon next to
the transaction type. A legend is also displayed on the top right-hand corner of the register.

Embedded text code added for Directors’ Letter Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
New embedded text codes have been added specifically for the Directors’ Letter. Embedded
text codes are included in the text paragraphs to pull information from the database of the
company into the paragraph.
Users have been able to create a freeform Directors’ Letter by going to Changes and
Documents | Multi-company documents | Letters/Invoices |Select Document type as
Director Letters.
In the Step 4 – Document Text tab, users will need to select custom or CAS default text
paragraphs to generate the letter.
The following new codes have been added:
^CONAME: Company name
^COACN: ACN/Company number
The existing Company Name embedded text code ^NAME will display the Directors’ name
therefore the above has been added.

Seychelles Chinese Company Name Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Seychelles companies are now able to add the Chinese Company Name into CAS. The field
for Chinese Company name can be shown in Home | Company Selection | Right click on a
company and select Edit.
Alternatively, after selecting the company, users can enter the Chinese company name in
Company Data | Details.
Users can now do a Chinese company name change for Seychelles companies and generate
the relevant documents.

Solvency Statement [Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, British Virgin Island, England and Wales, Other]
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
A new document has been added to the document suite for Member changes- Solvency
Statement.
A solvency statement is a statement in writing signed by all the directors which state that
there are no grounds on which the company could be found to be unable to pay or
otherwise discharge its debts.
This is required for the following transactions:
• Return of Capital
• Share Buy Back
• Redemption
This document is available for the above jurisdictions for both private and public companies,
but it is only required for private England/Wales companies.
To generate the solvency statement, go to Changes and Documents | Members | Go to
Members. Select either a capital return, share buy back or share redemption transaction and
tick Print. Click Next at the bottom right hand corner then you will be able to either print,
export or preview the Solvency Declaration.

Default: Display ID Issue and Expiry dates [Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, British Virgin Island, Other]
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
New fields have been added in the People Add/Edit screen to allow users to enter in the
Current ID issue country, ID Issue date and ID Expiry date.

Upon entering the details in, if the ID number is being displayed in any reports or
documents, the additional details will be displayed together with the ID number. The ID
details will be shown in the Registers, Company Reports, Minutes/Resolutions and can be
used in Freeform documents.

Users can also choose not to display the additional details of the ID in the documents. The
default option can be changed in Administration | Defaults | Documents/Letters tab |
Document Options 1 subtab | Print all ID/passport details.
If this option is unticked, it will hide the Passport Country of issue, ID Country of issue, ID
Issue date and ID Expiry date on all CAS Reports and documents besides the British Virgin
Island and Cayman Island Register of Beneficial Ownership (which is to be shown at all
times).

“Annual Return Date” report order added to Companies listing report
[Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, British Virgin Island, Other]

Companies Listing report can be customised extensively to the users needs. Users can
display certain information regarding the selected companies, and can filter by Department,
Jurisdiction or even company status.
An additional report order has been added to allow users to sort the companies by the
Annual Return date. To generate the Companies Listing report, go to Enquiries & Reporting |
Listing Reports | Companies Listing.
Under the Report options drop down, users can select Annual Return date as a criteria to
sort the companies in that order.

A date range can also be applied to display only companies with the Annual Return date that
falls in that range.
Users can either preview, print or export the report.

Default setting – Hide common seal paragraph [Singapore, Hong Kong]
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
In Singapore and Hong Kong, companies are no longer required to have a common seal,
however there are instances where companies would still display the common seal on the
required documents.
A new setting has been added to CAS to allow users to either show or hide the Common
Seal paragraph in the First Directors Meeting Minutes/Resolutions for certain companies.
The setting is company specific. By default the company’s First Directors Meeting
Minute/Resolution will always display the Common Seal paragraph.
To hide the common seal paragraph for a specific company, select a company via the
Company Selection screen, then go to Company Data | Other Data | Client, CAS Data |
Client/Company Data tab | Untick “Show common seal on first directors meeting minute” |
Save.
Once this option is unticked, the First Directors Minutes/Resolution will not display the
common seal paragraph for this company via Company Data | Registration/ Incorporation |

Enable a person to have a First name or Surname only [Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, British Virgin Island, Other]
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Validations have been lifted to allow users to enter a person’s name in either the Surname
or First name field only.
This is to allow persons that only has a legal first name (no surname) or vice versa to be
added into CAS.
Companies that are under the Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, BVI or Other
jurisdiction can only enter in people with only a first name.
The person can also do a name change in CAS as per normal and generate the relevant
documents. Company Registers and reports will also be able to display the person’s
firstname only.

Company Report enhancements [Singapore, Hong Kong, Cayman Island, British Virgin Island, Other]

The Members section of the Company Report in CAS has previously displayed the person’s
name, address and shares held on a specific date.
Enhancements have been made to also include additional details of the members in the
Company report.
This includes:
• Date of birth
• Place of Birth
• Country of Birth
• ID/Passport details (including passport country, date of issue and date of expiry)

In addition, the share/unit share type will be split according to the following:
• Class
• Currency
• Fully Paid/Partly paid
A member that owns two types of shares will be split in accordance to the share type.

Australia
Edge Lodgement Reports filter Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
The Edge Lodgement reports screen allows users to view all the reports and documents that
ASIC has sent through via EDGE into CAS. Users can view these reports by highlighting a
report/document and clicking on the TV screen to preview it.
On the right-hand side of the screen, a new drop-down box has been added to sort either by
report or document, depending on what is viewed.
An example is if users are viewing reports, the drop-down box will list the reports that are
present on the screen.
After selecting a report type in the drop down box, the screen will only display that report
type. Users can then filter by date order or file name to find the specific report.
After users exit the screen, it will reset the report display and show all reports/documents.

BIC Activity list

New Zealand Business Industry classification code list has been updated. To view the list of
activity codes and descriptions, select a New Zealand company then go to Company Data |
Details | Activities.
Singapore
Notify amount paid
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Enhancements have been made to allow users to generate minutes/resolutions for the
change of paid amount for unpaid or partly paid share transactions.
Users first will need to enter a call amount whether it be part or full amount of the amount
payable.
To enter in a call amount to a share type, go to Changes and Documents | Members | Go to
Members. Select the transaction the call is made to and click on the edit icon .
Click on the first magnifying glass next to share type.

The share type associated with the transaction will be highlighted. Click on the edit icon .
Enter in a Call amount at the bottom of the modal and a date. Also ensure that amount paid
is also updated.
Save the share type then double click on the share type to re-select it again. If needed, also
update Total Consideration Paid section of the Share edit screen. You will notice that if
Amount paid equals amount payable it will not display the share type as “Fully Paid”.

Save the transaction . On the Members/Shareholders search screen, highlight the
transaction, right click on click on “Notify Amount Paid”.
Under the Notify column, it will show “Amount Paid”. At this stage, DO NOT tick the tick box
under the Print column. Proceed to click on NEXT at the bottom right hand corner.
Users will be able to generate the Minutes/Resolutions and display the text paragraph
regarding the change of amount paid.

Form 45- Continuation document for Witness
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Users can now generate the Form 45 along with the continuation page for a Witness to sign,
whether a witness is selected or not.
To always display the continuation page for Form 45, go to Administration | Defaults|
Documents/Letters | Document Options 1 | Tick “Print Continuation page for Singapore
Form 45”.
If this option is unticked, in the Officer print screen, the continuation page of Form 45 will
only display if there is a Witness selected.

SSIC 2015 (2018 version)

The Singapore SSIC 2015 (2018 version) code list has been updated in CAS. To view the list
of activity codes and descriptions, select a Singapore company then go to Company Data |
Details | Activities.
Any activities that adopt a new code will automatically be changed.
Hong Kong
Change to Dormant company
Full CAS, CASLite+, CASLite
Users may now be able to process a special resolution should a company become a dormant
company.
This can be done via Changes and Documents | Other changes | Resolutions.
Select Alteration to: Dormant Company.

A text paragraph will need to be selected which will display in the Notice of Meeting Minute
and the Notice of Resolution.
A new default paragraph has been created in Master Set 9 with the text code HKDORD
which will be displayed in Minutes/Resolutions.
After the documents have been printed or exported, the company status will change to
Dormant. You will be able to see the change in Company Data | Details | Status.
