My favourite season is winter

The coldest season of the year, winter comes between autumn and spring. Winter brings many changes to the world around it.

Some animals may travel to warmer climates, or migrate. Others

may spend the winter in a near-sleep state. In winter many plants

die or are dormant.

Around this time, the days are short and nights longer. The sun comes out very late on winter mornings and when it does is not hot.

There are a lot of sport activities in winter; curling, ice

skating, ice racing, ice sculpture, ice hockey, ice

fishing, ice climbing, ice boating and more.

Winter is also a time of fruits, many fruits such as tangerines and oranges as well as many vegetables become available during winter.
