Thatmeansthatifonemilliondriversturnedofftheircars,ratherthanidledunnecessarily,forjusttwominutesperweekforanentireyear,theseharmfulemissionswouldbereducedbymorethan750tons.Anddon’tforgetthatforeverytwominutesyourcaridles,itusesroughlythesameamountoffuelyou’dusetotravelonemile.Whatawasteofgas!

Sometimesasmallchangeintemperaturecanhavebigresults.Trykeepingyourthermostatonetotwodegreeswarmerinthesummerandonetotwodegreescoolerinthewinter.Thiswillloweryourelectricitybillandsaveawealthofenergyoverthecourseoftheyear.

Ingoodweather,youcanusenaturallighttoyouradvantagebyopeningwindowsanddrawingbackcurtains,ratherthanlightingyourhouse24/7withlampsandceilinglights.Inhotweather,useheavycurtainsorshadestoblockouttheheatandpreventyourACfromworkingovertime.
