Mixed Use SchemeBaring Road

A mixed use development comprising 90,000ft² of Self Storage floorspacearranged on Ground floor, 3 upper floors and over a double basement, surrounded by 39 residential units.

There are many sites throughout London and the South East that have an employment / industrial planning use but are surrounded by other residential properties.

This presents difficulties where an industrial/warehousing use requires no external fenestration elevational modelling however the streetscape ideally requires active elevations broken down to a human scale to enhance the local environment.

In this example the large Storage warehouse and offices has been hidden behind 39 residential units arranged in 3 blocks. There is an internal courtyard to service the self storage building below which there is underground parking for the dwellings.

10% renewable energy is achieved by using a bio-mass boiler to centrally heat the residential units.
