I had this problem with my Maytag Atlantis washer, Model MAV6260AWW. It would not spin, but it would agitate and drain properly. When in spin cycle, itwas very noisy as the belt was slipping.

As a disclaimer, please be careful. You will be working with an electromechanical machine. There are moving parts and electrical connections. Unplug themachine before working on it to avoid personal injury, electric shock, electrocution, property damage, or any expense incurred by you through the use ofthese instructions.
