PIE DONATIONS NEEDED
Math Club is seeking pie donations for the Pi Daycelebration (Friday, March 13th, 2020). Pie sales are one
of the biggest events during the celebration, along with“pie-a-teacher” and “pi-talian soda” events. The club is
requesting the donations to be delivered to math teachers’classrooms no earlier than Thursday, March 12th and nolater than before school starts on Friday, March 13th. Wecannot accept pies that are frozen or require refrigeration.

When to Keep Your Student HomeA student should not attend school if they have any of thefollowing symptoms and they should be kept home for at
least 24 hours after the symptoms are no longerpresent and have not required any medication for relief:
Elevated temperature (100°F or higher)DiarrheaNausea/vomiting
If a student comes to school with any of the followingconditions, they may be sent home
(with or without fever):
Cough, if compromising respiratory status.Green/yellow nasal discharge (signs of infection).Skin rashes/sores (can be serious, e.g. impetigo,scabies, chickenpox, or other infections)Pink eye (may have itching and drainage). Unusual fussiness or appearance of discomfort.
These guidelines were adapted from the American FamilyPractice protocols for sick days. Thank you for your
assistance in keeping all our students healthy!

the quality of education we desire for our students.

BOOSTER CLUB - Keeps the lights on for the manyunfunded athletic programs at Mira Loma High School.

IBMYP - Sophomore students are planning the World’s Fair Expo Event. The event itself will beon April 17th, with the set up after school on April 16th. These are the two days after the MLHS
Open House event on April 15th.

If your student is enrolled in our International Baccalaureate Diploma Program then
he or she will be getting terrific learning opportunities this year.
IB, however, also features lots of rules and technicalities – I am providing a few links to helpyou navigate through the program as it works here at Mira Loma.

The library needs students to apply to be tutors in many subjects.
Tutoring takes place after school for one hour or at lunch for 30 minutes.
(Student tutors choose their time slots)

A banquet in honor of the IB Program graduating class of 2020 will be held on the evening ofThursday, May 28 at The Center. Graduating students, their families, and faculty are invited.

unrelated to school meals, including school funding, internet access,
college application fees, SAT fees and bus passes.
