livecube Drives Engagement
What is livecube?
livecube is an event app built to maximize engagement at events. The web-app requires no downloads and
works on all devices. Attendees are encouraged to participate by sharing comments and ideas within
sessions as well as connecting with attendees and sponsors. livecube's gamification engine rewards
engagement with a series of badges, points, and prizes.
social interaction + game mechanics + networking + focus + surveys =
maximum audience participation and engagement

Connect
Individual Sessions
livecube can be powered by Twitter to drive social
engagement across the web, or by email for a
private, in house event. All users, signed in with
twitter or email, will experience the same
heightened opportunity for engagement by
connecting to fellow attendees, collaborating on
the best ideas, and interacting with sponsors.

to begin networking with other attendees.
Individual sessions are pre-packaged to maximize
engagement: Speaker info, Twitter handles, and
hashtags are prepopulated, giving users a simple
way to join the conversation.

Survey Option 1 (self paced)
desktop view shown
Self-paced surveys are taken by attendees at their own pace. Attendees earn points for completed
surveys. You have the ability to name the survey as well as create quiz, polling, or open-text
response questions for each survey. Surveys can be assigned to some or all of the sessions.
Survey Option 2 (realtime audience response system) Realtime surveys are announced and run on stage during a session for all attendees to participate in with their mobile
devices. As a timer counts down each question, attendees earn points for participation and correct answers. You have the
ability to name the survey as well as create quiz, polling, or open-text response questions for each survey. A realtime
leaderboard is created and shown on screen and a prize is often awarded to the top point earner from the quiz/survey. You
have access to survey and engagement data before, during, and after your event. This includes details, such as how an
individual user answered a survey question, to macro data such as how many comments were made during a session.

Gamification Incentivizes Engagement
sidebar view shown
(mobile & desktop)
Attendees earn points for completing tasks
you’ve set forth. Game mechanic incentivizes
engagement by encouraging attendees to
complete specific actions or missions and
rewarding them with prizes (including access and
prestige) that are important to them. This out of
the box feature automatically raises the level of
conversation at your event.
Facilitate the Conversation
Each time you interact with livecube (posting a
message, taking a survey, or uploading an image, etc.)
you earn points. Comments, photos, and ideas with the
highest level of engagement are automatically moved
to the top of the conversation. This built in incentive
results in higher level engagement, more productive
conversation, and presents an opportunity for
collaboration.
Prizes

(mobile & desktop)
You have the ability to choose prizes that make sense for
your attendees. We help make sure your prizes fit your
company values, vision and culture. We encourage
access and exclusivity prizes, which have been
psychologically found to be stronger motivators than
rewards and money. For example, you might offer a
chance to meet the company CEO or a VIP dinner with
an important speaker.
Announcements
desktop view show. mobile is resized to fit.
Announcements can easily be sent to attendees. These messages can greet attendees at a specific time, or
they can be sent to attendee emails and by text message. You can choose to send the announcement to
all attendees, or limit it to attendees in a specific session. These special announcements can help guide the
conversation or activity in your live event, or it can be an opportunity to include sponsor messages.
Network
sidebar view shown
(mobile & desktop)
All attendees have a user profile. You can follow an
attendee, see their most recent posts, and get a
snapshot of their conference experience. Individual
profiles gives each attendee ownership of their own
event experience, which we’ve found makes them more
likely to connect with other attendees and contribute
great ideas.
All attendees are assigned to teams within livecube to
drive certain team and individual actions, generally
around icebreakers and networking. Sponsors may
brand the team names, colors, and icons.
Icebreaker (Space Race)

on-stage view
The Space Race is a team interaction used to introduce livecube on-stage. When the rockets launch attendees can
push a button on their mobile device to accelerate the rocket. The more taps a team accumulates, the faster it
accelerates to the top of the on-stage screen. The Space Race is a fun initial exercise that builds momentum and
excitement for the event. It’s a lively ice breaker, and more importantly, it’s a guided segue into livecube registration.
This gives you an opportunity to introduce the importance of using the app and attendees the chance to ask
questions.
