ADDITIONAL MATERIALSCircular knitting needle size 11 (8 mm), 36 in. (91.5 cm) long

GAUGE16 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern Rows 1-8.BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

NOTES1. Afghan is worked in one piece in a simple stitch pattern.

2. A circular needle is used to accommodate the width of the piece. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.

AFGHANLoosely cast on 60 sts.Knit 7 rows.Stitch patternRow 1 (right side): Knit 5, purl to last 5 sts, knit last 5 sts.Rows 2-8: Knit.Repeat Rows 1-8 until piece measures about 53 in. (134.5 cm) from beginning, ending with a repeat of Row 8 as the last row you work. Bind off loosely.
