Orientation programme organized for teachers : 24.05.2016
Before the start of the new academic year 2016, a two day orientation
programme for teachers was organized by the Management on the topic „The
High Performance Teacher Leadership Workshop‟. The resource persons were
Dr.Brian from USA and Talent Ease group from Bangalore to enhance the
innovative teaching techniques to be used in the class room.
School Re-opens: 01.06.2016
LFC held a special assembly conducted by the teachers in order to
welcome the students after a long and rejuvenating summer break. Our respected
Correspondent and the Headmistress motivated the students for Happy,
Prosperous and Successful year ahead.
A report on Teachers Meeting : 01.06.2016
The meeting was organized under the guidance of our Correspondent. The
main purpose of this meet was to enrich the student‟s educational experiences
and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students.

Each student achiever was felicitated by the Headmistress with a cash
award. Teachers who produced centum result were also honored by the
Headmistress for their dedicated efforts.
Tamil and English Literary Association Meet 17.06.2016
English and Tamil Literary Association Meets were conducted for Std VI –
XII Elocution, Debate, Poem recitation, Skit and many such competitions were
conducted and prizes were distributed. Opportunities are provided for the
students to participate in District, National and State Level Competitions. Our
school students actively participate in the Shakespeare Institute of English
Vocabulary Competition every year and achieve State Level prizes.
International Yoga Day : 22.06.2016
All teachers including students and non –teaching staff participated in the
yoga camp organized as part of the occasion. Dr.V.G.Arun & Co from
Heartfulness Centre imparted training in various aspects of yoga and breathing
exercises. It would also give the practitioner peace of mind, good discipline and
ensure a healthy life.
Educomp Smart Class Training : 09.07.2016
Mr. Luck Bhatt Singh from Delhi and Mr. Nathan trained the teachers to
bring technology into the classroom.
Kamarajar Birthday : 15.07.2016
His birthday is celebrated as „Educational Development Day‟ as he started
27,000 schools in Tamil Nadu and began the nutritious noon-meal scheme. We
also offered floral tributes to his portrait, students expressed gratitude for his
contribution to developing education.

std, students as competition is their favourite part of our programmes.
Salutations and Tributes to Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam: 27.07.2016
All students and staff of LFC paid glorious tribute to “People‟s President‟,
Scientist, Teacher, Inspirational Leader and a True patriot on the first death
anniversary by sharing his wonderful words of this great personality.
Great people like APJ Abdul Kalam never die, they are immortal.
Inter school Science Exhibition : 13.08.2016
It was conducted by Thirumalai Mission Hospital in Vedhavalli Vidyalaya
School, Vanapadi.
Our students of class XI exhibited various projects and bagged the overall
Championship Shield.
Independence Day Celebration : 15.08.2016
Our Chief Guest Honourable MLA, Secretaries, Dignitaries,
Correspondent and Headmistress were escorted by the school band.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled
the tricolor flag and expressed the joy of our freedom.
Cleanliness awareness week : 15.08.2016
This was celebrated from August 15th -19
th, 2016 by NSS and NGC club.
Students actively participated in various activities such as skit, conversation, folk
song and conveyed the importance of cleanliness.
The highly disciplined students are rewarded every month.
Every month rolling cup is given to the cleanest class room.
Headmistress Feast Celebration: 22.08.2016
LFC celebrated their Headmistress feast day with great love and
enthusiasm. The prayer service was followed by the variety entertainment. It was
a well organized and solemn occasion.
Retreat Care for Teachers : 27.08.2016
Retreat was organized by the Headmistress on the topic „Spiritual and
Corporal Works of Mercy‟. Rev.Fr.John Nicholas was the resource person. This
opportunity enabled us to practice greater kindness, compassion and also
enhanced contemplative inquiry and insight.
Teacher’s Day Celebration : 03.09.2016
Students always look forward to Teacher‟s Day with a lot of anticipation
for the sheer spirit of the occasion. The programme included dance, song and skit
performed by the students. Teachers got very delighted by the programme
organized for them. On this occasion, the best teacher award was given to
Mrs.S.Jeyanthi (English) by the Correspondent for the academic year 2015 –
2016.
The Bible Day : 14.10.2016
On this day, the programme included skit, dance and song performed by
the students depicting God‟s love and hope with peers. Rev.Fr.Thangaraj from
Senpakkam insisted everyone to love God and love others.
Project Day : Talent Mela 15.10.2016
All the classrooms were full of models, charts and well explained. The
topics were varied and unique. Judges were invited from Abdul Hakeem College.
This was the time to show their talents and creativity in their own way. Their
thoughts were put into action leading to reality in a beautiful way. It ranged from
all subjects to Health, Fitness, Music, Sports, Food carnival etc.
Inspection Report : 17.10.2016
This year inspection by the Education Commission was held on 17th
October, 2016. Rev.Sr.Pauline, Rev.Sr.Sabina Jose and Rev.Sr.Jenitta evaluated
the teaching and learning of an individual subject. They also inspected the school
plans, the quality of teaching and learning in the subject department. At the end
of the inspection, they gave a feedback to all the teachers to improve
teaching - learning process.
Book Fair on October 18th
and 19th

LFC believes in providing its students with holistic and informative
literature to enrich their vocabulary and diction.
The students enjoyed the fair as it would give them an opportunity to read and
access more informative literature besides their efficiently loaded school library.
Diwali Celebration : 27.10.2016
The festival of lights „Diwali‟ was celebrated on October 27th
, 2016 with
usual pomp and grandeur. The bursting of the crackers brought a great jubilation
among the students.
St.Charles Borromeo Feast Day Celebration : 03.11.2016
It was celebrated on 3rd
November, 2016. The day commenced with Mass,
followed by singing and cultural programmes depicting the life history of
St.Charles Borromeo. It was a holy day to recall the memories of the cardinal
bishop.
Inter-school Science Exhibition, Dance mela, Elocution and Essay
Competition: 08.11.2016
Every year the Government conducts District level competitions for
different levels of the students. The District level competitions gave the students
an opportunity to improve their skills and compete with students of other schools.
Our school students participated under various categories and won several prizes.
Medical Health Check - up Camp : 10.11.2016
The RBSK team members of Primary Health centre, Lalapet came forward
for physical examination. The diagnosis made was to facilitate the assessment of
a child‟s growth and development through the school years.
Children’s Day : 14.11.2016
As usual we celebrated the Children‟s Day on 14th November, 2016 in
commemoration of the birthday of our beloved Chacha Nehru. The programme
which started at 9.30 a.m. was an equipoise of dance, skit and songs. Science
quiz was organized. It was quite interesting and knowledgeable.
Christmas Celebration - 2016: 05.12.2016
Christmas was celebrated solemnly on 5th December by the LFC family
together. The students put up fabulous programmes to add more impact to the
celebration. The Chief Guest was Rev.Fr.Edward who enriched everybody with
his valuable message.
The Christmas spirit truly came alive at LFC.
Musical Instruments and Dance Classes:
We have included Musical Instruments and Dance Classes on Saturday for
VI – VIII STD, students to incorporate the appreciation towards fine arts in the
young minds.
PTA Meeting:
PTA Meetings has been regularly conducted every Term to seek the
parents participation and feed back about our activities.
Staff Meeting:
Staff Meetings are held periodically to review the activities of our school
and plan the future.

In order to gain spiritual study and experience, our students involved in the
service of doing something to the wonderful Tree of Humanity to experience
goodness, light, and the right way of living.
Altitudes achieved in Sports and Games:
Student life is not complete without the involvement in Sports and Games.
Our students have achieved the overall Championship in the Zonal level athletic
competitions. A.Sangeetha of IX A bagged the individual Championship in
senior level category.
Our basket ball team senior level stood I place in the District level
tournament. Our girls team participated and won the I, II, III place respectively in
the Gymnastic, High Jump and Long Jump conducted at the Divisional level.
A.Sangeetha of IX A in the senior level High Jump and Gymnastic team
girls also represented LFC at the State level competition.

Audio –Visual: Communication Skills
Communication skills are taught for Higher Secondary students to learn
the importance of being Accurate, Brief and clear (ABC) for any communication
to be effective.
Different aspects of human behaviour and body language that play an
important role in communications are emphasized.
Smart Boards in Classrooms:
This cutting – edge technology has proved popular for students of all ages.
The interactive board turns a typical classroom into a fun learning environment.
Counseling and Guidance:
We also foster advocacy for students to promote a rigorous academic
curriculum/learning life/career/global citizen/social development.
Talent Ease: “Creating tomorrow’s Leaders Today”.
Talent Ease team focuses not just academics but on truly educating a child
by imparting Leadership skills, Value based inputs and preparing youth of today
for the job markets to of tomorrow.
Yoga and Meditation:
“It‟s not about getting good at meditation,
It‟s about getting good at life”.
Yoga and Meditation classes are also practiced to ensure physical and
mental fitness to deepen our compassion and insight, to nurture higher levels of
clarity, joy and harmony and to transform body and mind.
Club activities:
Our school students attached with the Guides, JRC, RRC, NSS, NGC and
Interact involved themselves to create an awareness on the ill effect of plastic
usage to protect environment through greeneries and to promote tree plantation.
They are also responsible for maintaining greenery in and around the school
campus.
