Concluding Remarks
* To solve traffic jams, more than 10 overpasses were constructedrecently in Bangkok, Thailand.
* For fast construction, both girders and piers are steel. The design was based on American codes (AASHTO).
* Japan has more experiences as far as steel substructures (bridgepiers) are concerned. But no reference was made to Japaneseexperiences and codes. More exchange of information on steel design technology may be desirable.
