Foundry process design kitsIC foundries offer semiconductor processes that are characterized by Process Design Kits (PDKs) containing active and passive device simulation models for IC design. Keysight EEsof EDA works closely with foundries to offer you high-frequency PDKs in Si, SiGe, GaAs, InP and GaN processes. When choosing a foundry PDK, you must be sure that the models meet foundry manufacturing requirements. Both Keysight’s GoldenGate and RFDE simulators are Spectre (from Cadence Design Systems) software compatible, allowing you to use the Spectre kits directly in these powerful Keysight simulators. 1. Modelithics, one of our modeling partners, provides ADS/Genesys libraries from several component manufacturers.

The latest release of ADS contains HSPICE compatibility ,allowing high speed serializer- deserializers modeled with an HSPICE netlist to be directly simulated or encrypted in ADS for distribution to designers of high-speed serial data links.

Component manufacturers provide their ADS-compatible model libraries as down-loads from their websites. You download the latest component libraries without being dependent on the ADS software release schedule, and you have access to manufacturing components much earlier in the design cycle. Models are easy to install in ADS.

In addition, many more component vendors offer S-parameter libraries in the s2p Touchstone format established by Keysight EEsof EDA for download and simulation within ADS and the Genesys RF and microwave circuit and system design software.
