The learning theory that is being used in this lesson is information processing theory, which is responsible for breaking down and storing data. This works with memory, as the brain develops so does the ideas that you have learned.
Common Core English Language Arts
Standards:One of the major common core’s in English
language arts is being able to demonstrate standard english language and grammar and usage when writing or speaking. For example identifying: Nouns, pronouns, verbs Etc. , Using the right tenses, as well as using proper grammar (spelling, punctuation, capitalization and so forth).
Five Things Every Teacher Should be Doing to Meet the
Common Core State Standards• Lead High-Level, Text-Based Discussions
Discussions will be held in the classroom, stating why students think which tense is correct, and which words are nouns, adjectives or verbs. • Focus on Process, Not Just Content
Process is a main focus because they are not just learning the content, they are understanding it to help their English language develop. • Create Assignments for Real Audiences and with Real Purpose
Learning proper English instills students with experience to go out into the real world. • Teach Argument, Not Persuasion
This is the one where I feel the teacher’s cannot meet the common core standard, as there are no arguments when it comes to the English language.• Increase Text Complexity
As students have a grasps on the language, harder words will be used.
