Scrip: Easy Money for Our School! Welcome new and returning families, Scrip is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for our school. You’re able to generate funds at no additional cost to you. Just purchase gift cards for items you would buy anyway and the merchant provides a percentage to our school. Hundreds of local and national retailers participate. Some donate as much as 16%! The easiest way to purchase scrip is at a scrip store, which we will hold Tuesday mornings beginning at 8:00 am and Friday afternoons beginning at 3:00 pm. We’ll have lots of scrip in stock. You’ll find us near the Whale (just inside main entrance). In addition the cards below (and hundreds of more online at shopwithscrip.com ) are available by order. Return the form with payment and we’ll have your scrip ready the following week. You can contact us by email at [email protected], via text at 734-717-8475 or on Facebook (search for “Ann Arbor Open Scrip”). You can even stop us in person, we’re happy to help! Last year we raised $8800 to enhance classrooms, specials and field trips at Ann Arbor Open. Let’s set a goal to raise even more this year! Thank you, Julie Bird, Sonya DeMonner, Rebecca Prichard and Stacey Seaver Ann Arbor Open Scrip Team

The annual Silver Graphics ArtWare fundraiser is coming soon! Order forms will be coming home with your child at the end of the month and items ordered will be sent home in time for the holidays. More information coming in the next weds packet. If you have any questions please contact Dina Heller ([email protected]).
We are in need of the following items in our vocal music classroom: 1. Bean Bags - as many as possible!
2. Reusable Plastic cups (not the typical Solo cup or version like that) - our 5th and 6th graders are learning an awesome rhythm pattern on cups to accompany a few songs. We have been using plastic Solo cups and they are not sturdy enough for our percussion part. An array of sturdy plastic cups would be so helpful! Please bring in any reusable sturdy plastic cups you have and may not need anymore. I am hoping to get at least 32. Thank you so much!
If you have either of these items, please bring them to the vocal music room at any time! There are tables on a rack in the back of the room and you can set the items right on top of those tables if I am not there! Thanks so much! - Jayme, your vocal music teacher
2017-2018 Field Trip and Enrichment Contributions
Ann Arbor Open Coordinating Council
Our school’s PTSO
_____________________________________________________________________________
A new school year brings another exciting schedule of activities for Ann Arbor Open
students. From the kindergarteners taking their first field trip to the Ann Arbor Farmers
Market to the middle school students performing local community service projects such
as serving meals at local food banks, these enriching programs are an important part of
the AA Open’s curriculum at every grade level. Kids, teachers and parents all look
forward to these memorable experiences that form an integral part of the Open
education.
Each year, the Ann Arbor Open Coordinating Council (AAOCC) -our school’s
parent-teacher-student organization- helps fund these programs. To this end, we ask
each family to make a tax-deductible contribution in accordance with the requested
amounts listed in the table on the back of this page.
Please return this form and contributions to school with other important
paperwork as soon as possible. New this year, is the inclusion of the yearbook
cost to the field trip and enrichment contribution!
The yearbook will be given to every child on the last day of school.
We ask that each family contribute what they can afford. If your family is able to give
more than the requested amount, please consider doing so, as it will benefit other Ann
Arbor Open families. Because Ann Arbor Open seeks to promote a fair and inclusive
environment, every child will get to go on every outing their class takes, and receive a
yearbook, regardless of their family’s contribution. Once you return the contribution
form, you will not receive further direct solicitations from the AAOCC.
If you cannot contribute this year, we still need your form to gauge supplementary fundraising needs, so please return the completed form found on the back of this page.
If you have questions, please contact Michela Arnaboldi, Contributions Coordinator,
