1.1. ATIS*D-ATIS 124.325
1.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURESUnless otherwise instructed by ATC, pilots should aim for a low noise continuousdescent approach below FL 70 without level flight segment.
1.2.1. RWY USAGERWY 33 shall be used for take-offs. Exceptions are permitted only if required bythe traffic situation or for reasons of air traffic safety, especially due toweather and RWY conditions.Take-offs from RWY 15 and landings on RWY 33 are permitted only if required forreasons of air traffic safety, especially due to weather and RWY conditions.
2200-0700LT:
RWY 15 shall be used for landings. Exceptions are permitted only if the weatherminima established for the IFR approach procedure to RWY 15 are not met and forreasons of air traffic safety as well as in exceptional traffic situations.Additional exceptions may be granted by the Aerodrome Control Tower in agree-ment with the competent local aeronautical authority.
1.2.2. NIGHT FLYING RESTRICTIONS
1.2.2.1. JET-ACFT WITHOUT NOISE CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO ICAO ANNEX 16- Take-offs and landings are not permitted between 2000-0700LT.
1.2.2.2. JET-ACFT WITHOUT NOISE CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TOICAO ANNEX 16, VOLUMEI, PART II, CHAPTER 2- Take-offs are not permitted between 2000-0700LT.- Landings are not permitted between 2100-0700LT.- Delayed take-offs of scheduled air services and regular inclusive tour flights
with scheduled times of departure before 2000LT are exempt from the nightflight restrictions until 2100LT if the delay was provably unavoidable.
1.2.2.3. JET-ACFT WITH NOISE CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO ICAO ANNEX 16, VOLUME I, PART II, CHAPTER 3, PROPELLER-DRIVEN ACFT AND OTHER ACFT NOT COVERED IN PARAS 1.2.2.1. AND 1.2.2.2.- Take-offs and landings are not permitted between 2300-0600LT.- Delayed take-offs and landings of scheduled air services and regular inclusive
tour flights with scheduled times of departure or arrival before 2300LT areexempt from the night flight restrictions until 2400LT if the delay was prova-bly unavoidable.
1.2.2.4. EXCEPTIONSExempt from the restrictions mentioned in paras 1.2.2.1. to 1.2.2.3 are:- ACFT using Hamburg APT as alternate or emergency aerodrome for meteoro-
logical, technical or other safety reasons.- ACFT on disaster relief and medical assistance flights, SAR services or urgent
police missions.- ACFT operated in the night airmail service of the ’Deutsche Post AG’, as spe-
cified in detail by the Hamburg Ministry of Economics.Additional exceptions from the regulations may be granted in individual cases,especially if required to avoid significant disturbances to air traffic or in casesof special public interest.

The ATC clearance does not include the exceptional permission from the noiseabatement officer (Fluglaermschutzbeauftragter) required as stated above.
1.2.3. REVERSE THRUSTReverse thrust other than idle thrust shall only be used to an extent necessary forsafety reasons.
1.2.4. RUN-UP TESTSEngine test runs outside the noise abatement hangar are permitted only afterprior consent and in accordance with specific instructions by the aviation supervi-sion office (Luftaufsicht) of the Hamburg Ministry of Economics, +49 40 50752599or 2600. Idle thrust test runs between 0600-2300LT are not covered by thisregulation.The permission for a run-up-test from the ’Luftaufsichtsstelle’ does not includethe necessary ATC taxi clearance.
Engine test runs of rotorcraft:
Engine test runs shall be reported to the traffic observer (Tel.: +49 40 50751713)at the GAT. Engine test runs shall be conducted on apron 4 between the westernedge and the ACFT Stand Taxilane - V on an area provided for this purpose andmarked by a white cross. Hover flights to this position are not allowed. The APToperator reserves the right to allocate another position if necessary. Compasscalibration runs may be conducted on request on RWY 33 abeam TWY R and on thehelipad West.If specially requested, compass calibration runs may be interrupted and ACFTrequested to vacate its position if called upon to do so by the APT operator, thelocal air navigation services and/or the aviation supervision authority(Luftaufsicht).
1.2.5. AUXILIARY POWER UNITS (APUs)ACFT shall shut down the APU directly after arriving at the ACFT stand, providedexternal power is available. At the pier positions, the central infrastructure forair conditioning and electricity shall be used. At remote stands, ACFT operatorsmust request mobile devices from ground handling service providers.The APU shall remain turned off for the whole time at the ACFT stand.The APU may only be turned on 8 minutes (pier position) or 5 minutes (remotestand) before the last possible time to leave the ACFT stand.Exceptions from the prohibition on the use of the APU are issued by the centralapron management service (HAMBURG Apron on frequency 121.705 or 121.980).
1.3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES1.3.1. ACFT GUIDANCE UNDER CAT II/III OPERATIONS
ACFT having landed are requested to report leaving the colour-coded section ofthe TWY in order to draw attention to the fact that the ACFT has left the ILS pro-tection area.At CAT II/III intermediate holding positions and on additional TWY sectionsequipped with stop bars, the latter may, under no circumstances, be crossed whenswitched on.In apron areas with taxi guideline lighting, ACFT will be guided by means ofgreen centerline lights when CAT II/III operations are activated. In the apronareas without centerline lighting, Follow-me cars will be assigned by apron ifrequired, or at request of the pilot.

The intermediate holding position lights on apron 2 are operated in conjunctionwith the lighting for the taxi guidelines.The intermediate holding position lights consist of 5 yellow unidirectional under-floor lights. ACFT may cross these without special permission - unless they areexpressly requested to hold.
1.4. SURFACE MOVEMENT GUIDANCE AND CONTROL SYSTEM1.4.1. GENERAL
Hamburg APT has installed an Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and ControlSystem (A-SMGCS) using Mode S multilateration.
1.4.2. OPERATION OF MODE S TRANSPONDERS WHEN ACFT IS ON GROUNDACFT operators shall ensure that Mode S transponders are able to operate whenthe ACFT is on ground.Pilots shall select AUTO mode and assigned Mode A code. If AUTO mode is notavailable, select ON (e.g. XPDR) and assigned Mode A code shall be selectedunder the following conditions:- From the request for push-back or taxi, whichever is earlier;- After landing, continuously until ACFT is fully parked on stand;- When fully parked on stand, STBY shall be selected.Whenever ACFT is capable of reporting ACFT ident (i.e. call sign used in flight),the ACFT ident should also be entered from request for push-back or taxi, which-ever is earlier (through the FMS or Transponder Control Panel). ACFT crew shalluse the format for entry of the ACFT ident as defined in Item 7 of the ICAO flightplan.To ensure that performance of systems based on SSR frequencies (including air-borne TCAS units and SSR radars) is not compromised, TCAS should not beactivated before approaching the holding point. After landing, it shall be dese-lected after vacating the RWY.
1.5. TAXI PROCEDURES1.5.1. GENERAL
On aprons 1 and 2, ACFT may only taxi on or along the yellow guidelines and arepermitted only at minimum thrust. B747 and larger ACFT will be guided by a Follow-me car.ACFT crossing RWY 33 via TWY B3 in direction TWY G, may only taxi along theyellow guidelines.Within the General Aviation area, the wingtip clearance on TWY Y4 is 10'/3m, onTWYs Y5 thru Y7 is 15'/4.5m.On apron 2, Follow-me car mandatory for ACFT with wingspan between 66'/20mand 98'/30m. Pilots taxiing between aprons 2 and 4 shall request clearance for crossing TWY Gfrom Ground.Additional preceding holding positions are located on TWYs B3, B4, B5, G, B1, B6and D1.If instructed by HAMBURG Apron/HAMBURG Ground/HAMBURG Tower, pilotsshall stop at these points.TWY D1, D6, D8, F, W, Z4 and Z5 mandatory for ACFT code letter D.
TWY T RESTRICTIONS
ACFT with a wingspan of 213'/65m or more will be guided by Follow-me vehicleon TWY T in both directions. On TWY T and apron 6, they must be towed in thepresence of a wing-walker.

ACFT with a wingspan less than 262’/80m may taxi through the gateway undertheir own power. ACFT taxi onto apron 6 under their own power will be requestedto stop by a ground marking after passing through the gateway. The engines shallbe turned off and the ACFT will be towed to its destination.ACFT with a wingspan of 262’/80m or more must wait in front of the gatewaywith the engines turned off. They will then be towed through the open gateway inthe presence of a wing-walker.ACFT wanting to leave apron 6 in the direction of TWY T will be towed up to thegateway. The engines may be turned on here and not earlier. After requesting andreceiving a start-up/taxi clearance from HAMBURG Ground, ACFT may continueto taxi under their own power in accordance with instructions.
1.5.2. TWY LIMITATIONSApron 1 South of TWY B1 MAX wingspan 118'/36m.ACFT with a wingspan of more than 171'/52m may only use TWY B1 to vacateRWY 15/33 when guided by Follow-me vehicles. ACFT with MAX wingspan of213'/65m may use TWY B1 to taxi onto RWY 15/33 without guidance.TWY B3 may only be used for crossing RWY 15/33. It cannot be used to enter RWY 15/33 for take-offs or to exit it after landings.TWY A5 may only be used for crossing RWY 05/23. It cannot be used to enterRWY 05/23 for take-offs or to exit it after landings.TWY U will be marked off by a gateway between TWY G and apron 5. The gatewayhas a width of 197’/60m and a height of 8’/2.43m AGL. ACFT with a wingspan ofless than 118’/36m may taxi through the gateway under their own power. ACFTwith a wingspan of 118’/36m or more shall stop in front of the gateway and turnoff engines. They will then be towed to their destination.Eastern part of apron 2 including TWY Y4 MAX wingspan less than 98’/30m.TWYs Y5 and Y6 MAX wingspan 39'/12m.TWY Y7 MAX wingspan 95'/29m.TWY W MAX wingspan less than 79'/24m.TWY V MAX wingspan 94'/28.65m, a MAX length of 99'/30.3m and a landing gearwidth of MAX 16'/4.9m.
1.6. PARKING INFORMATIONStands 01A, 01, 01B, 02A, 02B, 03A, 03B thru 11 equipped with Visual DockingGuidance System.A dark ACFT livery on the nose of the ACFT or poor visibility can disturb the Vis-ual Docking Guidance System (VDGS). A pilot shall not proceed onto the parkingposition unless the final lead-in information (distance to stop) is displayed. Thesame applies in cases when the display shows "STOP" or "WAIT". Furtherinstructions need to be obtained from apron control and assistance from a mar-shaller is needed.On stands 01A thru 43 and 81 thru 95A push-back required.On stands 01A thru 48, onboard APU must be switched off as long as power supplyand fresh air are provided in return for extra fees.
1.6.1. TAXI-OUT/PUSH-BACK STANDS 44 THRU 48ACFT with a wingspan of more than 82'/25m must be pushed back from theirpositions.ACFT with a wingspan of less than 82'/25m may leave their positions under theirown power.

2.1. CAT II/III OPERATIONSRWY 23 approved for CAT II/III operations, special aircrew and ACFT certifica-tion required.In case of a long landing on RWY 23 with subsequent vacating of RWY via TWY D1,ACFT will be guided from end of RWY 23 to TWY D3, as an alternative by a Fol-low-me car to the centerline lights.
2.2. TAXI PROCEDURESArriving ACFT will be passed by Tower to apron and will taxi as instructed byapron to the position assigned. Change-over will take place as early as possible, at the latest when reaching theboundary of responsibility. Parking of ACFT at all positions without Visual Docking Guidance System per-formed by marshaller.
3.1. START-UP, PUSH-BACK AND TAXI PROCEDURES3.1.1. START-UP
3.1.1.1.GENERALPilots shall request start-up clearance from Ground. On initial radio contact therespective apron designation shall always be indicated.After clearance to start the engines, pilots will receive instruction to establishcontact on the frequency of apron.
3.1.1.2.GENERAL AVIATION APRONSOn initial radio contact the taxilane shall be indicated additionally.
3.1.2. PUSH-BACK AND TAXI"Nose-in positions" may only be left with push-back facility. Reverse thrust shallnot be used. To obtain push-back instructions from a nose-in position, pilots mustrequest permission from apron.In order to avoid delays in taxiing, pilots are instructed to start engines duringpush-back. After completion of push-back, "ready to taxi" shall be reported toapron.To obtain instructions for taxiing from a taxi-out position, pilots must requesttaxi clearance from apron reporting "ready to taxi".On initial radio contact with apron, pilots shall report position and RWYassigned.Permission for push-back or taxiing from a position may only be requested if thepilot can perform the maneuver immediately.
3.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURESThe use of the noise abatement take-off and climb procedure NADP1 is recom-mended for all jet ACFT departures from Hamburg APT. Climb with MAX climb gradient to 3000':- Use the high lift devices TKOF configuration. - TKOF PWR reduction to climb PWR at 1500'.Automatic measuring equipment is used to MNT adherence.

Caution uncontrolled vehicles are often crossing theeastern part of taxiway/taxilane G. For this reason themaximum speed on taxiway/taxilane G between Y1 andY3 is limited to 15 KT.
Caution RWY incursion risk by mistaking E4 for E1. TheTWY E1 (leading to the holding point for RWY 15) doesnot have TWY center line lights.
GeneralInitial contact with TOWER shall be established at least 5MIN prior reaching first REP.
VFR approaches may expect navigational assistance byradar to the traffic circuit or the RWY.
For repeated approaches for training purposespermission of the "Luftfahrtbehörde" is required.
Overflying of hospitals and cemetery E of AD shall beavoided as far as possible.
Taxiing ProceduresOn the Aprons, ACFT may only taxi along the yellowtaxiing guide lines. Short cuts are not allowed. Inexceptional cases, taxiing off the taxi guide line ispermitted only according to special instructions from theFHG follow-me car.
TWY A5 no exit after LDG RWY 05.
Restrictions of UseTWYs V & W are only available for ACFT with wing spanless than 24m. On TWY G a speed limit of MAX 25 KTapplies to taxiing ACFT between TWY F and TWY W.
Regulations for Air Traffic Handling onAprons 2 & 4 of General Aviation
Taxiing of ACFTFHG Apron Control will employ follow-me cars on Apron2 and 4 of 'GA' to guide taxiing ACFT, the signals of whichthe pilot-in-command shall observe.
ACFT GuidanceArriving ACFT intending to taxi on Apron 2 or 4 will behanded over by the DFS to a FHG follow-me car at theboundary of competency and will be led to and assigned aparking position. Departing ACFT shall obtain their TKOFinformation on the frequency of HAMBURG ATIS. Alltaxiing procedures conducted on the parking areas, aswell as on the taxiing guide lines Y4 to Y7 to the allocatedtaxi holding are the sole responsibility of thepilot-in-command. If necessary, he can request afollow-me car from FHG.
Taxiing traffic between Aprons 2 and 4 and vice versa:
Pilots taxiing on taxi guide line Y4 to Y7 betweenAprons 2 and 4 shall obtain clearance for crossingTWY G by GROUND.
Pilots taxiing on taxi guide line Y4 to Y7 betweenApron 4 and 2 will be directed by GROUND beforeentering Apron 2 to follow the instruction of theFHG follow-me car.
When taxiing on guide lines Y1 and Y3, GROUND willinstruct the PIC to establish radio contact with APRON.Instructions to change frequency shall be followedimmediately.
The afore-stated regulations apply analogously for HEL.
Taxiing on ACFT Stand Taxilanes G, U, V, W and TACFT Stand Taxilanes G (starting 150m W of RCL RWY 33up to a position abeam Hamburg Tower), U, V, W and T arethe responsibility of radio station HAMBURG APRON 2 on121.980. The area ACFT Stand Taxilane G is marked bytraffic signs "Entering Apron" and "Leaving Apron",respectively and a yellow dotted line (ground markings).
For utilisation of ACFT Stand Taxilanes, the followingprocedures/guidelines shall be observed:
Passing ACFT on ACFT Stand Taxilanes will remainon HAMBURG TOWER/GROUND frequency if notadvised otherwise.
Company vehicles will cross ACFT Stand Taxilanes G,U and T as well as Apron 4, on the marked roads foroperational vehicles.
TKOFs and LDGs of HEL are prohibited on ACFTStand Taxilanes, as well as on Apron 4.
Passing ACFT on ACFT Stand Taxilanes G and U willbe guided by a FHG follow-me car if RVR is less than325m.

Use of the ApronsACFT are allowed to use the Apron only with permissionfrom FHG Apron Control and on its instructions.Permission for the use of Aprons is issued by FHG ApronControl via radio or telephone and by the assignment offollow-me cars. Use of Aprons by ACFT is always subjectto prior permission from FHG Apron Control. Anyinstructions by FHG Apron Control attached topermission shall be observed.
HEL will be guided by a follow-me car of FHG.
Restrictions for the Use of Aprons 2 and 4The western part of Apron 2 including taxiing guide linesY5, Y6 and Y7 may be used by General Aviation ACFT witha wing span of 15m exclusively. The adjacent eastern part,including taxiing guide line Y4, is available to ACFT up to awing span below 30m.
The wing tip clearance on the parking positions oftaxilanes Y5 to Y7 for a wing span below 15m is 3m; it is3.75m on the parking positions of taxilane Y4 for a wingspan below 30m. ACFT with a wing span below 20m mayturn into the parking position under their own power,ACFT with a wing span between 20m and 30m will bebrought into their parking position by means of a towingvehicle.
Safety InformationWithin the "General Aviation" area, the wing tipclearance on taxiing guide lines Y4 is 3m, Y5 to Y7 is 4.50m.The yellow taxi guide lines shall be strictly observed.
The parking areas of Apron 4 are available only to GeneralAviation ACFT who are tenants of hangars K and L, as wellas to official and ambulance flights.
Assignment of ACFT Parking PositionsFHG Apron Control will assign ACFT parking positions onthe Apron, and will guide the ACFT with follow-me cars tothe assigned positions.
Parking of ACFT at the outer positions is performed bysignals from a marshaller.
Non-marked parking areas may also be assigned forparking.
RemarksThe white RCL marking on RWY 15/33 is displaced by0.75m to the west-side of the RCL lighting.
RWY Guard Lights are positioned on TWYs G, D1, and B6in front of RWY 15/33 and as well as next to TWY E4 onlyvisible after vacating RWY 15/33 continuing via TWY E4.This position can be assigned by ATC as an intermediateholding point to stay clear of taxiing ACFT on TWY E1ahead this position.
