“It’s A Great Day for A Great Day” was the winner of the blan-ket seating Friday night at Veterans Memorial Park in Raven-na. Vicki Singleton and friends decorated the winning blanket area. They received a gift certificate to Michael’s Restaurant, also located in Ravenna.
Kathy Thompson and her family won the best decorated table with a Micky Mouse theme. They also received a gift certificate to Michael’s Restaurant. Children with the River City Players presented “Nothing to Do in This Town”, live music, and clog-ging.
Waste TireAmnesty
Sept. 10-12A waste tire amnesty sponsored by the Kentucky Divi-
sion of Waste Management and the Estill County Fiscal Court will be held Thursday, Sept. 10; Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Kentucky Highway Mainte-nance Garage on Cow Creek Road.
Tires can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. t 12 noon on Sat-urday.

Pulled, barbecued porkonabunwasthemainitemon lastWednesday’smenu.It was served with bakedbeans, cole slaw, fried ap-ples,and2%milk. For those who do nothavetransportation,Riddellsaidtheycancall723-4787and thebuswillpick themupanywhereinthecountyon Tuesdays, Thursdays,andFridays. Thehotmealsaredeliv-
eredtosomeresidentsinthecountywhoarenotable toattendthecenter.Thoseresi-dentsmust also livewithinacertaindistanceofthese-niorcentersothathotfoodscanstaysafelyhotandcoldfoodscold. Forresidentswhodonotlive close enough for hotmeals to be delivered, thesenior center may be abletodeliverfivefrozenmealsperweek.
