CHANGING YOUNG PEOPLE’S LIVES
Over the next ten years we want to help another 1,000,000 young people,
something we can only do with the help of our donors, supporters and volunteers.
Offer:
A personal development programme for 16-25 year olds
An exhilarating programme filled with challenging group
activities including a residential which takes young people
out of their comfort zone plus 121 support and qualifications
to enable young people move on into their next steps of
training or employment.
Outcomes:
Qualification appropriate to their literacy & numeracy levels
78% positive outcomes, into Education, Employment,
Training or Volunteering
3 months support after leaving the programme, however, we
pride ourselves and believe that support never ends, we ensure
we are always there for our Fairbridge young people!

Full time one week personal development programme for
16-25 year olds
Focused on enabling young people to build resilience,
confidence and raise aspirations, to progress onto further
training or employment
A celebration event towards the end of the course to
highlight achievement, qualifications and areas developed
to enhance CV’s

Three months support after programme, one to ones,
assistance in progression, CV and interview training,
assistance in funding or accessing funding through

Gary, 21 suffers from depression. To support with his mental
health challenges, Gary accessed support from Bootstrap
which prepared him for being ready to make his next step.
Gary has always been passionate about cars and was excited
when he saw the advertisement for the Get Started with Motor
Vehicle course at Blackburn College.
From day one on the course Gary was enthusiastic and made
a positive impression on the tutors. On completion of the
course, Gary signed up for Level 3 Motor Vehicle at Blackburn
College, and has since supported in the delivery of a further
Get Started with Motor Vehicle course. Gary plans to complete
his Level 3 and then secure a job in a garage.
Offer:
Full time 3 – 6 week employability programme for 16-30 year
olds, including sector specific vocational training and work
placements
Delivery partners are local employers with entry level vacancies
Buddied by employees within the organisations to get real life,
hands on experience of employment
Culminates in celebration event, celebrating the successes and
progression of the young people during the programme

An interview for employment with guaranteed work /
apprenticeship
6 months progression mentoring support

early and didn’t have a clue what I wanted to be, the Get Into programme didn’t
just help me find work, it also showed me how much fun it is being employed ,
having a great group of friends and colleagues around me.”
Get into MPT Delivery To Date
18 young people from Blackpool recently completed Get into Retail programme with Marks and Spencers. As a result of their commitment and hard work they have all been offered employment.
Craig Corrin, M&S Blackpool Store Manager, said: “Every store needs young people like these. As soon as you see them, you can see their enthusiasm.”
