1. LogintoCanvas.Ontheleftsideofthepage,select“ePortfolios”fromtheAccountMenu.

2. Clickon“+CreateanePortfolio.”a. PleasenameitwithyourfirstandlastnamefollowedbyArtPortfolio.b. DoNOTselect“MakeitPublic.”c. Clickon“MakeePortfolio.”

3. Youshouldseea“WelcometoYourePortfolio”wizardpagepopup.Ontheleftsideofthepage,clickon“OrganizeSections.”

4. Fromthesettingsdrop-downmenunextto“Home,”select“Rename.”Renamethissection

“StatementofIntent.”

5. Nowclickon“AddSection”belowyournewly-namedStatementofIntentsection.Namethissection“Images.”

2. Canvaswilltakeyoutothefrontpageofyour“StatementofIntent”section.Clickon“EditThisPage.”

3. Renamethepage“StatementofIntent,”andasaplaceholder,copyintheinstructionsforwritingyourstatementofintent: Writeastatementnolongerthan250wordsexplaininghowyourintendeddegreeprogramservesyourambitionsasaprofessionalartist,designer,scholar,and/oreducator.Thereviewcommitteewillassessyourabilitytoarticulateyourideasandhowyouaddressyourwork.Thefacultyisinterestedinlearningmoreaboutyourartisticpractice,yourscholarshiporeducationalgoals,andwhyyouareastrongcandidateforyourintendeddegreeprogram.Pleasedonotwriteonlyaboutonetopic/theme/concept,etc.Suggestedcontentforthestatementofintentmightinclude:

Youwilllatercomebacktothissectionandaddanewpageforeachofyour10images.Thetitleofeachpageshouldbeformattedaccordingly:lastname,firstname,coursenumber.Eachimageshouldbeaccompaniedbyatwo-threesentencedescription.SamplesofcourseworkmaybetheresultofassignmentscompletedatinstitutionsotherthanCSU.Keepinmindthatimagesneedthecorrectorientation/rotationandimagesneedtobeevenlyandwelllit.Studentsshouldsubmitworkthatreceivedhighmarksratherthanwhattheyaremostproudof.

6. ToaddanewpagetoyourImagessection,clickon“Organize/ManagePages”andselect“+AddAnotherPage.”

includemultiple“types”ofcontentonanindividualpage.Forexample,youwillclickon“Image/FileUpload”toaddajpgimagetothepageandyouwillalsoclickon“RichTextContent”toaddyourdescriptionofthework.

RichContent:allowsyoutotype(orcopyandpaste)intext

HTML/EmbeddedContent:allowsyoutowriteinHTMLand/orpasteinembedcode.

CourseSubmission:allowsyoutoaddanassignmentsubmissionfromoneofyourCanvascourses

ToshareyourePortfolio,gotoyourePortfoliodashboard(thepageyouseewhenyoulogintoyourePortfolio).Undertheheading“YourePortfolioisPrivate,”you’llseealinkyoucancopytogiveotheraccesstoyourprivateportfolio.
