0. INTRODUCTION

The Pack you have just purchased is an Original RXO brand product and of the DIGITAL-

MEMORY company.

The Pack includes 1 Watch + 1 Mini CD-ROM, the contents of which are detailed below:

RXO 2017s Watch:

- Watch with RXO Chip.

- 230V charger.

- USB cable for PC data transfer and charging.

- Headphones.

Mini CD-ROM (RXO):

- Software and watch manual (PDF).

- RXO v7.3 software to convert to RXO format.

- Symbology (Software and file with symbols).

- Software to convert video to the AMV format of the watch.

1. HANDLING AND OPERATION

This watch is a digital high-tech device and especial care should be exercised when

operating it:

• The battery is supplied empty or with a very low charge level. The first charge

(4hours), the rest of the charges (2hours).

• Battery life (7-24 h) depending on use: screen saver, image or text brightness,

music, video, battery-saving function, etc.

• To increase the lifespan of your battery, it is recommended that you wait for the

battery to be virtually empty before charging it.

• Dropping it or banging it must at all times be avoided.

• The watch must not be submerged in water nor splashed with it. (It is not

waterproof).

• You should press the buttons lightly, without excessive pressure. Do not expose to

temperatures exceeding 50 °.

• You should not have your watch close to electromagnetic fields.

• You should push the jack into the watch properly, to the end; if automatic

connection with the PC does not happen press the D button to establish it.

• You should never try to update the internal firmware, you will cause irreversible

damage.

• Before removing your watch’s USB cable from the PC, you must press the D

button in the watch or click on the “safely remove hardware” on your PC, “Ejecting USB

mass storage device/generic volume device” and accept. Once done, you can disconnect

the cable; otherwise you could damage the watch.

• Buttons: ON: Press and hold the (A) button for 3seconds, and when the time is displayed press and hold the (C) button for

2seconds to access the menu. (Sometimes if it has been off for a long time you will have to do it again)

OFF: Press and hold the (A) button for 3seconds.

ENTER: Button (A).

ESC: Button (D).

EMERGENCY BUTTON when viewing text: Button (A)

Modify DATE and TIME: access SETTINGS and System Time: Press the (A) button, use (B) and (C)Then press (A) again, and so on. Then press the (D) button to exit saving

date and time. Functions of the lower right button (D): Press for 1second in text mode to exit RXO text and go to directory.

Press for 1second in list of pages to access text Options: (Card folder = move up; setting = automatic or manual Advancement) Press and hold for 3seconds = Watch time in main Menu.

Pressing for 1 second while connected to the PC, you will "be able to safely disconnect the USB cable".

Functions of the move up and move down buttons (B and C): -Page up and page down.

-Press the (C) button for 6seconds to unlock the watch.

2. RXO CHEATING Mode

All you need to do is to convert PDF, WORD, TXT, etc. to RXO file format with the RXO

Software. Once they have been converted in your PC, transfer the RXO files to the watch

with the USB cable to view them.

Install the converter software named included in the mini CD-ROM. The

software will be installed under the name "Software RXO". If you have an older versions remove it first.

1st Connect the watch to the PC using the USB cable and wait a few seconds for the

watch to be recognized.

2nd

Run the program click on Open Text and select the text file you want. We

recommend TXT but it will also read: *txt,*PDF,*doc,*htm,*html,*lit,*chm.

- Note: To create a TXT file (see section 4).

3rd If you want you can now edit size, color, etc. Do not check the Anti-aliasing box, it

will diminish the quality of the text.

Click on convert to RXO and after click on Copy to Watch, then select the drive used

by your watch in your PC. The software will generate one folder on your desktop too.

5th Finally disconnect the watch in a safe manner, access the watch menu and select the

RXO mode to view the RXO files generated. (Don’t use E-book, use RXO) * To copy data to the watch, do it as you would with a PEN-DRIVE, copy and paste the generated

folders directly or copy them into the folders you have created in the watch, you do not need to copy

them into the default folders.

2.1 EMERGENCY BUTTON: By pressing the emergency button the current time will display

and all the watch buttons will be locked.

- Press the (A) button if you are viewing an RXO text file.

- Press the (D) button if you are in the main menu.

- Press and hold the (D) button for 2seconds if you are

browsing the folder/directory.

Unlock: Just press the (C) button for 6 seconds and you will go back to page where you was.

3. INSERT FORMULAS:

Access the symbology folder and install the software.

It is very easy, you just select the symbol and paste it in your cheating sheet.

In any case, we also send a TXT file to open with Notepad in ARIAL font where you can

copy and paste new symbols and special characters.

You can also create a BMP file with PAINT software and draw the more complex

formulas with the help of these symbols and then send them to the watch as images.

* Some symbols will only work with certain fonts.

4. TXT files better than PDF or WORD:

Our software transfers files in different formats PDF, WORD, etc. though sometimes, because of

page breaks, margins, tabs etc., blank spaces might be generated when you view the text in your

RXO watch.

In many instances the conversion of a WORD or a PDF file is good and you do not need to copy and

paste to Notepad to generate a TXT file.

* To create a TXT text file, you just need to select the text from any type of file, copy and paste to

NOTEPAD, this way you create a TXT type file that you will name, for example: tema04.txt.

Note: NOTEPAD is a basic text software which is installed by default in Windows.

5. BUGS AND TROUBLESHOOTING * If your watch charges the battery but it cannot be linked to your PC nor copy files, it might be

because the cable is not pushed in to the end in the watch, or it is defective or in bad condition.

Sometimes, if you use a Windows XP that is out of date or it is not a Genuine copy, you might get a

connection error; try it in another PC with an up to date operating system.

* If you can not find the file sent to the clock or do not know move "in and out of folders" is very simple, just do the following: When you are viewing the text RXO:

• To move up to a higher folder: Press D button 2 times and then press A button 2 times.

• To enter a folder: Press A, select your page and press A 2 times to show your page.

• To use the emergency button from RXO text: Press A.

To use the emergency button from folder/directory: Press D for 2 seconds.

* If you have copied files or folders to your watch but you cannot have access to them, you connect

your watch to your PC and then you have access to them on your PC. You must format the device.

My PC-� Look for the drive selected by your watch � Press the right button in the mouse and

select Format/Quick format. Wait a few minutes for the formatting to finish and then enter the data

again. The folders and data copied will be deleted, but you do not need to have the same default

folders that come with the watch, you can now enter the folders and files you want with the names

you want. Do not worry about formatting because it will not affect the watch operating system.

* If your watch gets blocked, you have to do a reset carefully introducing a straightened out paperclip

through the small hole where you introduce the connector until you feel a click similar to that of the

watch buttons, then it will restart and the watch should unlock. This happens 1 in a million times, it is

very unlikely, but we are letting you know so that should this happen to you, you will know what to

do.

* If you have copied RXO files from an older version, you might find that they are not compatible

with your new watch. You must ensure that you use the software specific to your new watch to

generate the RXO files.

* To watch videos you must convert them to the AMV 128 x 96 pixels format using the Video Converter software included on the CD-ROM.

* If your images do not display correctly we recommend that you use PAINT Software, which is

included in Windows, you must create square images, and the size should be 256 x 256 pixels or 128 x 128 pixels. To view large images you must use a different device with a larger screen, for example:

laptop, Notebook. "It is impossible to display a DIN A4 size image on a 3x3cm screen".

6. TIPS

* In addition to the lack of brightness, due to the black background and the grey font, you can control

the intensity from your PC with the RXO software simply by changing the font color from white or light grey to a darker grey, according to preference.

* The ideal font size is 8 and the font type Arial, but some people prefer to use one size larger or

even one size smaller, and other font types or colors. In the margin section of the RXO software you

can set the text margins to make the most of the entire screen, although sometimes the text might

cover the page number. (You can enter negative values).

* Do not check the Anti-aliasing (fontsmoothing) box in the software, it will diminish the quality of

the text.

* If you have a text that is too long, you may split it in order to find the page you are looking for

faster; to do this, in the RXO Software Select 50 pages per folder, for example. This way you will

split your file into several folders with 50 pages each and all of them inside one.

* Do not name your files or folders with names that are too long or have special characters.

6.1. Fine tuning • Before using it to copy: Ensure the watch has been fully charged the day before and you

have set, according to your preference, the following parameters:

FUNCTION: "PERMANENT POWER ON" If you want your watch to remain always on and never power off automatically, even when detecting

inactivity, you must program the following in the Setting menu:

Disable Backlight = 0

Disable Off time = 0

Disable Sleep mode = 0

FUNCTION: "POWER OFF AFTER A PERIOD OF INACTIVITY" If you want your watch to power off after not having used any buttons for 10 seconds, you must

program the following in the Setting menu:

Disable Backlight = 0

Enable Off time = 10

Disable Sleep mode = 0

ADVANCEMENT OF MANUAL or AUTOMATIC TEXT: When viewing a text in RXO mode, press the lower right button twice, then move down and access

setting to configure the time in Auto Replay mode, or to go to Manual Replay mode.

In Auto Replay mode you can adjust the time going from 20seconds and up to 120seconds for “the

slower ones”.

5. INTRODUCCIÓN

El Pack que acabas de adquirir es un producto Original de la marca RXO y de la empresa

DIGITAL-MEMORY.

El Pack incluye 1 Reloj + 1 MiniCD-ROM, cuyo contenido detallamos a continuación:

Reloj RXO 2017s:

- Reloj con Chip RXO.

- Cargador a 230V

- Cable USB para conectar al cargador y transferencia con el PC.

- Auriculares.

Mini CD-ROM (RXO):

- Manual del software y reloj (PDF).

- Software RXO v7.3 de conversión al formato RXO

- Simbología. (Software y archivo con símbolos)

- Software Conversor de video al formato AMV del reloj.

6. MANEJO Y FUNCIONAMIENTO

Este reloj es un dispositivo de alta tecnología digital y hay que tener especial cuidado en

su utilización:

• La batería se suministra descargada o con muy poca carga. 1ª carga (4horas) las

demás cargas (2horas).

• Duración de la batería (7-24h) depende del uso: protector de pantalla, brillo de las

imágenes o el texto, música, video, función de ahorro de batería, etc.

• Se recomienda cargar la batería cuando esté prácticamente descargada para

aumentar su vida útil.

• Debe evitar cualquier golpe o caída en todo momento.

• Debe cuidar de no introducir el reloj bajo agua, ni salpicarlo. (No es acuático).

• Debe pulsar los botones suavemente, sin apretar en exceso. No exponer a

temperaturas superiores a 50º.

• No debe acercar el reloj a fuentes electromagnéticas.

• La clavija al reloj debe introducirse adecuadamente hasta el fondo, si no hace

conexión automática con el PC pulsa el botón D para establecerla.

• Nunca intentes actualizar el firmware interno, producirás daños irreversibles.

• Antes de desconectar el USB del reloj del PC, debes pulsar en el reloj el botón D

o en tu PC haz click en quitar hardware de forma segura, detener dispositivo de

almacenamiento USB/volumen genérico y aceptar. Una vez hecho esto puedes

desconectar el cable, de lo contrario puedes provocar daños en el reloj.

• Botones del RXO PN-2017s ON: Pulsa el botón (A) 3seg., y luego cuando aparezca la hora, pulsa el botón (C) 2 seg. para acceder

al menú. (A veces si lleva mucho tiempo apagado hay que pulsar de nuevo)

OFF :Pulsa botón (A) durante 3s.

ENTER: Botón (A).

ESC: Botón (D).

BOTON DE EMERGENCIA cuando visualizas el texto: Botón (A)

Modificar FECHA y HORA: Entra en SETTINGS y System Time: Pulsa el botón (A), ahora usa (B) y (C) para subir o bajar los dígitos del año. Luego pulsa otra vez (A)

y así sucesivamente. Luego pulsa el botón (D) para salir guardando fecha y hora.

Funciones del botón derecho inferior (D): Click 1s en texto para salir del texto RXO al directorio.

Click 1s en listado de páginas para entrar en Opciones

de texto: (Card folder= subir carpeta superior;

setting= Avance manual o auto)

Click 3s= Reloj horario de Menú principal

Click 1s mientras está conectado al PC sirve para “ poder desconectar de forma segura el cable USB”

Funciones de los botones subir y bajar (B y C): -Avanzar página y retroceder página.

-Desbloquea el reloj pulsando durante 6 segundos el botón (C)

7. Modo CHULETA RXO

Simplemente debes convertir los archivos PDF, WORD, TXT, etc. al formato RXO con el

Software RXO. Una vez convertidos en tu PC, transfiere los archivos RXO al reloj

mediante el cable USB para visualizarlos.

Instala el software convertidor llamado incluido en el mini CD-ROM. El

software se instalará con el nombre de “Software RXO”. Si tienes una versión anterior desinstálala antes.

1º Conecta el reloj mediante USB al PC y espera unos segundos a que sea reconocido, si

no lo reconoce pulsa D. 2º Ejecuta el programa haz click en Open Text y selecciona el archivo de texto

que desees. Recomendamos TXT pero admite: *txt,*pdf,*doc,*htm,*html,*lit,*chm

- Nota: Para crear un archivo TXT (ver apartado 4)

3º Ahora si lo deseas puedes editar tamaño, color, etc. No actives la casilla Anti-aliasing ya

que el texto perderá calidad.

- Haz clic en convert to RXO y a continuación en Copy to Watch para enviar los

archivos RXO a la memoria interna del reloj, seleccionando la unidad de disco de

tu reloj en tu PC.

- De todas formas se queda grabada una copia de la carpeta con los archivos RXO

también en tu escritorio.

5º Finalmente desconecta el reloj con seguridad, entra en el menú del reloj y elige el modo

RXO para visualizar los archivos RXO generados. (No uses E-book usa RXO) * Para copiar datos al reloj y ordenarlos, puedes hacerlo igual que en un PEN-DRIVE, copia y pega

las carpetas generadas directamente o cópialas dentro de otras carpetas que hayas creado en el reloj,

no es necesario hacerlo en las carpetas que trae por defecto.

2.1 BOTÓN DE EMERGENCIA: Pulsando el botón de emergencia aparecerá la hora actual y se bloquearán todos los

botones del reloj.

- Pulsa botón (A) si estás visualizando un archivo de texto RXO.

- Pulsa botón (D) si estás en el menú principal.

- Pulsa botón (D) 2 seg. si estás en cualquier directorio

Desbloquear: Simplemente pulsa el botón (C) durante 6 segundos y

vuelve donde lo dejaste.

8. INSERTAR FÓRMULAS:

Entra en la carpeta simbología e instala el software.

Es muy sencillo, simplemente seleccionas el símbolo y lo pegas en tu chuleta.

De todas formas enviamos también un archivo TXT para abrir con el bloc de notas en tipo

de letra ARIAL donde podrás copiar y pegar nueva simbología y caracteres especiales.

También puedes crear un archivo BMP en el software PAINT y dibujar aquellas fórmulas

más complicadas con ayuda de esta simbología para luego enviarlas al reloj como

imágenes.

*Algunos símbolos sólo funcionan con determinados tipos de letra.

9. Archivos TXT mejor que PDF o WORD:

Nuestro software transfiere archivos PDF, WORD, etc. aunque debido a saltos de página, márgenes,

tabulaciones etc. a veces se pueden generar espacios vacíos en la visualización del texto con el reloj

RXO.

En muchos casos la conversión desde un archivo WORD o PDF es buena y no es necesario copiar y

pegar al bloc de notas para generar un TXT.

* Para crear un archivo de texto TXT, símplemente debes seleccionar texto de cualquier tipo de

archivo, copiar y pegar al BLOC DE NOTAS, así crearás un archivo del tipo TXT que nombrarás,

por ejemplo: tema04.txt

Nota: El BLOC DE NOTAS es un software de texto básico que por defecto está instalado en

Windows. Programas/accesorios.

5. ERRORES Y SOLUCIONES

* Si tu reloj sólo carga la batería pero no puede vincularse con el PC ni copiar archivos, puede

deberse a que el cable no está insertado hasta el fondo en el reloj, o bien está defectuoso o en mal

estado. Si usas Windows XP desactualizado o no Original, a veces da errores en conexión, prueba en

otro PC con un sistema operativo más actual.

* Si no encuentras el archivo enviado al reloj o no sabes moverte “entrar y salir de las carpetas”, es muy sencillo, simplemente debes hacer lo siguiente: Cuando estés visualizando el texto RXO:

Para subir a una carpeta superior: Pulsa D 2 veces y a luego pulsa A 2 veces.

Para entrar en una carpeta: Pulsa A, pulsa C y pulsa A 2 veces para entrar en la página seleccionada.

Para usar el botón de emergencia desde el texto RXO: Pulsa A.

Para usar el botón de emergencia desde cualquier parte: Pulsa D durante 2 segundos.

* Si has copiado carpetas o archivos a tu reloj pero no tienes acceso a ellos desde el reloj, aunque sí

puedes desde el PC cuando lo conectas. Debes formatear el dispositivo. Mi PC-�Buscas el

dispositivo del reloj�Pulsas el botón derecho del ratón y seleccionas Formatear/Formato rápido.

Esperas unos minutos a que termine el formateo y vuelve introducirle los datos. Se borrarán las

carpetas y datos copiados, pero no es necesario tener las mismas carpetas que trae por defecto, las

carpetas y los archivos se los introducirás tú con los nombres que quieras. No te preocupes por el

formateo porque el sistema operativo del reloj no será afectado.

*Si tu reloj se queda bloqueado, debes hacer un reset con mucho cuidado introduciendo un clip

estirado en perpendicular por el pequeño orificio donde introduces el conector hasta que notes un

click similar a los botones que posee el reloj, entonces se reiniciará y debe desbloquearse. Esto

ocurre 1 vez entre un millón, es muy poco probable, pero avisamos por si te toca, para estar

prevenido.

* Si has copiado los archivos RXO de una versión antigua, es posible que no sean compatibles con tu

nuevo reloj. Debes asegurarte que usas el software específico de tu reloj nuevo reloj para generar los

archivos RXO.

* Para visualizar videos debes convertirlos al formato AMV 128x96 pixeles usando el software

Conversor de Video que se incluye en el Cd-rom

* Si tus imágenes no se visualizan correctamente te recomendamos usar el Software PAINT que está

incluido en Windows, debes crear imágenes cuadradas y que el tamaño sea de 256x256 pixeles o 128x128 pixeles. Para visualizar imágenes grandes debes usar otro dispositivo con una pantalla de

mayor tamaño, por ejemplo: Pórtatil, Notebook, Ipod. “Es imposible puedes visualizar una imagen

tamaño folio en una pantalla de 3x3cm”

6. CONSEJOS

* A parte de no emitir brillo por tener fondo negro y texto gris, puedes bajar o subir la intensidad

desde tu PC en el software RXO simplemente cambiando el color del texto desde blanco o gris claro a un gris más oscuro, según prefieras.

* El tamaño de texto ideal es Size 8 y tipo de letra arial, pero hay quien prefiere usar uno mayor,

incluso un tamaño menor y otros tipos de letra o colores. En el apartado margin del software RXO

puedes configurar los márgenes del texto para aprovechar al máximo toda la pantalla, aunque a veces

el texto puede tapar el nº de página. (puedes introducir valores negativos)

* En el Software, no actives la casilla Anti-aliasing (fontsmoothing) ya que el texto perderá calidad.

* Si tienes un texto demasiado largo, puedes dividirlo para que te resulte más rápido encontrar la

página que buscas, para esto, en el Software RXO selecciona 50 pages per folder, por ejemplo. Así

tu archivo se dividirá en varias carpetas con 50 páginas cada una y todas ellas dentro de una.

* No uses nombres demasiado largos para los archivos o carpetas ni con caracteres especiales.

6.1. Puesta a punto

• Antes de usarlo para copiar: Asegúrate de haber cargado bien el reloj el día de antes y tener

marcados, según prefieras, los siguientes parámetros:

FUNCIÓN: "ENCENDIDO PERMANENTE" Si deseas que el reloj permanezca siempre encendido y nunca se apague de manera automática,

aunque detecte inactividad, debes programar lo siguiente en el menú Setting: Desactiva Backlight = 0

Desactiva Off time = 0

Desactiva Sleep mode =0

FUNCIÓN: “APAGADO EN INACTIVIDAD” Si deseas que el reloj se apague cuando no se están usando los botones y transcurran 10

segundos, debes programar lo siguiente en el menú Setting Desactiva Backlight = 0

Activa Off time = 10

Desactiva Sleep mode =0

AVANCE DE TEXTO MANUAL o AUTOMÁTICO: Cuando estés visualizando un texto en el modo RXO pulsa dos veces el botón derecho inferior,

ahora baja y entra en setting para configurar el tiempo en modo Auto Replay o pasar a modo

Manual Replay.

En modo Autoreplay puedes programar el tiempo desde 20s y para los más lentos hemos

habilitado hasta 120segundos. www.inventoelectronico.com
