ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW Founded in 1996, InfraGard National is a FBI-affiliated nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening national security, community resilience and the foundation of American life. InfraGard is one of the FBI’s longest-running outreach programs and its largest public/private partnership, with over 60,000 members representing 77 InfraGard chapters nationwide. All InfraGard chapters are geographically linked with one of the FBI’s 56 Field Offices, enabling law enforcement and the American business community to collaborate on localized educational programs, training events and information-sharing initiatives that help mitigate threats and promote safety and security.

EVENT EVENT OVERVIEW InfraGard National’s Congress and Conference is the premier gathering for InfraGard members and security stakeholders representing all critical infrastructure sectors and industry disciplines. As the organization’s largest and most highly anticipated annual event, the InfraGard Congress and Conference draws hundreds of members from across the nation for education, collaboration and networking. Each year, InfraGard focuses on the most timely and impactful topics that are shaping the future of security and resilience. In the spirit of the InfraGard mission, this year’s event will feature five days of education and information-sharing that address praddress prevention, mitigation and response to threats to critical infrastructure.
For the fourth year in a row, the InfraGard National Conference will be co-located with ASIS GSX 2019 at McCormick Place in Chicago, providing attendees with the opportunity to explore thousands of new technologies and partake in GSX sessions.

This workshop will educate attendees on current and emerging threats to our power grids from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). After exploring the direct, indirect and cascading effects of a national-level outage event, we will focus on sustainable mitigations for healthcare, physical security, communications, and power outages in the event of extended, widespread power outages. This workshop includes a tabletop exercise on preparing for power threats and sustaining capabilities for the short and long-term effects of partial or total power disruptions.

Instructor: Randy Trzeciak, Director, Insider Threat Center at CERT/Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon UniversitySince 2001, CESince 2001, CERT’s National Insider Threat Center has been collecting and analyzing insider incidents in an attempt to develop potential risk indicators of insider threats. CERT has assisted organizations across the Dept. of Defense, U.S. government, law enforcement, industry, and academia with building insider threat mitigation capabilities into enterprise-wide risk management programs. Attendees of this workshop will walk away with actionable guidance on: • How insider incidents evolve over time; • Technical and behavioral-based risk indicators; • A framework for building an effective insider threat program; • Identification of data sources to be incorporated into an insider threat data analytic hub; • Strategies for incorporating human Resources and general counsel into the program to ensure privacy and civil liberties are protected.

Instructor: Denyette DePierro, Vice President and Senior Counsel, Cybersecurity Payments, American Bankers AssociationAs the heartbeat of the national economAs the heartbeat of the national economy, the Financial Services Sector has always been an early adopter of information technologies that protect their highly sensitive data and financial assets. This workshop will provide an overview the Financial Services Sector Cybersecurity Profile (FSSCC), a harmonized meta-framework approach to cybersecurity that recognizes the multiple, often overlapping, regulations and supervisory/examining agency approaches, while fostering an efficient, result-oriented approach to cybersecurity customizable for institutions of all sizes and complexity.
