Nanyang Junior College - 14th February
DAAD was present with a booth at the
Nanyang Junior College Career Fair on 14th
February 2018.
Students had the chance to learn more
about life and studying in Germany, how to
apply and admission requirements. We
would like to thank Nanyang JC for hosting
us and hope we have sparked an increased
interest in studying in Germany amoung
their students.
MOELC German Day - 20th + 21st
February
German students from MOELC had the
opportunity to listen to a presentation about
studying in Germany and participate in a
quiz about sights in Germany during their
annual German Language Day. They had
prepared their own presentation and
collages about Germany, which were very
impressive. We are sure that this kind of
exposure to language and culture will help
those of them planning to study in Germany
in the future. Not only the DAAD was
present during the fun-filled German Day,
but also the Austrian Ambassador and
representatives of the Goethe Institut, giving
the students more insights about
opportunities and options in German
speaking countries - and about the sights
they might want to visit.

to present about studying in Germany.

to participate in a dual study programme
where work and study periods alternate on a
3 months basis. They will finish the
programm with a completed apprenticeship
as well as a Bachelor degree.
NTU German Society - 21st February
During their German week, Claudia Finner
from DAAD joined the NTU German Society
with a presentation about studying for a
Masters degree in Germany. Further,
representatives of the Fraunhofer Institute
(https://www.fraunhofer.sg) talked about job
and research opportunities. The German
Association, a German exchange student
and a Singaporean student who took a
language course in Germany also brought
Germany closer to the students.
