Project #16591
Increasing professional human capital in the periphery
Scholarships for High-Tech Studies in the Galilee
KKL-JNF invites you to take part in an important and meaningful project and requests your
generous support in the amount of NIS 625,000, which will provide 100 scholarships for
undergraduate high-tech and engineering students in the Galilee. Your contribution will help
close the social, economic and academic gaps between the central and peripheral regions and
will strengthen the human capital in the Galilee for the sake of Israel's future generations.
Your donation will be matched—shekel for shekel—by KKL-JNF in Israel and participating
authorities, institutions or investors.

About the Project
KKL-JNF will distribute scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year to one hundred
students enrolled in high-tech programs at institutions of higher learning in Israel's northern
district with the intention that they continue to live and work in high-tech industries in the
Galilee upon graduation. The scholarships will be awarded to computer science and
engineering students in their final academic year.

Galilee and allocate 100 scholarship for their last year of studies at institutions of higher
learning, including Braude College, Tel Hai College, Kinneret College, Jezreel Valley College and
Tzfat College. Scholarship recipients will have committed to remaining in the periphery for at
least one year following graduation and working in the regions' high-tech companies.

Project #16591
Background
This project is part of the comprehensive KKL-JNF 2040 plan, whose goal is to attract one million
people to the Negev and half a million people to the Galilee, by developing growth engines: high-tech
industries, housing infrastructure, institutions and programs for innovative higher education, tourism
infrastructure, and landscape, leisure and recreation environments for quality of life and mobilizing
government and businesses to participate.
The scholarship program is designed to induce high-tech students to study in the Galilee and, following
graduation, continue to live in the northern periphery. Quality high-tech professionals will then be
available for employment, further serving as a catalyst for establishing high-tech industries and
opening branches in the Galilee.
Location
At five institutions of higher learning in the Galilee: Braude College, Tel Hai College, Kinneret College,
Jezreel Valley College and Tzfat College.
