1. Make sure your import file has correct headings and formatting
2. When ready, save and close your spreadsheet
3. In OnContact select Setup or Marketing
4. Select Imports, then Import Setup

5. Choose the correct template- we are using Contact with Company
6. Click Options and choose Save As
7. Name your import and save

8. Click Browse
9. Select the file you want to import and click Open
10. You should now see a preview of the file you selected. Click Mapping

11. Click OK
12. Scroll through the data to find any columns that are not mapped.
13. Click on first unmapped column

14. Select Use existing entity field
15. Click to search for the field
16. Since this is a Contact field, click Contact

17. Click the plus sign
18. Click the field you would like to map to
19. Click Save

20. Your new mapping field has been added- click to expand field options
21. Select the correct value from the list
22. Click to save

23. Click to save again
24. Your field is now mapped. Repeat for any additional unmapped fields.
25. Click to save your mapped import
26. Click Run

27. Click Run to test the first 10 rows.
28. This test inserted all 10 rows successfully.
29. Click to delete the rows you just inserted.

30. Close the test run
31. Click to select all rows

33. Verify that all rows were inserted. Click on the Inserted value to display the records you just imported
34. Verify that the data looks correct. If so, you are finished.
