(TUS) on the TIP- TUS and its Partners pursue a knowledge

acquisition strategy on AUV since 10 years

- SUMARE results complement those obtained through many years of self funded R&D and several domestic and European cooperation programs.

applications of AUV:

- Mostly MINE WARFARE

- Rapid Environment Assessment

- Lauching from submarines to escort convoys

(TUS) on the TIP Main SUMARE results (mostly due to CNRS-I3S) which could be

used in this context (after agreement with CNRS-I3S) are :

- Improved Navigation (provide ability to navigate near surface / bottom)

- Ability to run a pre-set mission

- Fault tolerant positionning and trajectory control system

- Data acquisition (environment probing, Mines detection and classification,…)
