Howfield Manor Is an exclusive 15 bedroom Manor House which originally dates back to the 12th Century. Although little remains of the original manor, glimpses of the chapel are still present to this day. Set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds and situated just 2 miles from the historic City of Canterbury, Howfield Manor is the perfect venue for your wedding day.
Civil Ceremonies
Howfield Manor Hotel is fully licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. We have three special licensed areas which includes our beautiful lake view gazebo. Capacity: Oak Room Up to 50 guests Manor Suite Up to 80 guests Gazebo (outside – lake view) Up to 80 guests
Accommodation However you decide to plan your wedding, you
will receive the Bridal Suite with our compliments.
The Hotel offers an additional 14 en-suite
bedrooms, all decorated to a high standard and all
offering as standard: satellite TV, telephone,
Wireless Internet access, ironing facilities
including traditional trouser press, tea/coffee
making facilities & safety deposit box.
Planning Your Wedding
Our emphasis at Howfield is to provide a
professional yet informal and relaxed
environment in which to enjoy your special
day. Our extensive gardens and grounds are
an ideal backdrop to the building and for
those wishing to have exclusive use of the
manor house, will enable a good deal of
fluidity and flexibility on how you wish to
best use the hotel.
Our approach to food, whether it be in
our restaurant or for our weddings
and events is to source seasonal local
produce as much as possible.
Our menu is a mixture of traditional
and traditional with a modern twist.
For weddings our preference is to
build the menu together, taking into
account your wishes and
requirements at all times.
We do not forget the little ones! You can either select an option from our special children’s
menu or opt for a smaller portion of the adult’s meal.
Organising your wedding can be quite a daunting task.
With this in mind, our Wedding Co-ordinator will be pleased to assist in planning your day
from the moment you arrive, right through to your departure, to ensure your day is truly
one to remember.
Throughout the months leading up to your wedding, we will be on hand to offer advice and
assist you in determining the menu, drinks packages, entertainment, formalities and those
little touches which all go hand in hand in making your day such a great success.
