o  Avoid loud pops/sound while connecting (might damage your

equipment/your ears)

o  Getting the right levels

•  Steps to connect microphones: o  Turn input gain down (turn phantom power off for condenser

microphone)

o  Female XLR is connected to microphone

o  Male XLR is connected to audio interface

o  Check for input levels (For M-Audio Fast Track Pro: achieve a steady

green Signal LED without triggering the red Clip LED)
