Cheaper house extensions in 2014(2014-02-23 19:17)

Building exten-sions to an existing property is not a walk inpark. It entails a broad set of activities but, more important, is a patience testing decision.

Prices go between £15.000 to £48.000 and it’susually the type of decision one makes after con-sidering more than the just the budget involved. Before anything, it’s a matter of confort or busi-ness investment. But it’s also a disruptive set ofactivities that can be quite stressing.

Similar house extensions with dif-ferent materials (2014-02-25 17:25)

When it comes to designing and constructinga house extension the only limits are the oneswe accept. But, generally speaking, the straightlines and simple architecture will almost alwayswin if we’re looking for elegance, tradition andcost efficiency.

Here is a similar design for two different houses, but built with different materials; sourced onFlickr (copyright [1]Roger Wollstadt / CC li-censed for reuse with attribution):

The extension, which contains an extra roomand a half-bath at the rear.

Similar extension as above, but in brick matchingthe original rather than aluminum siding.
