A freelance travel journalist who frequently contributes to the New York
Times and Food & Wine, GISELA WILLIAMS is currently based in Cologne,
Germany where she resides with her family. Born and raised in New England
she has lived in Bali, Bermuda, Berlin, New York and Madrid.
MARIKA MCADAM is a lawyer and writer from Victoria, Australia, who has
lived and worked in several countries. She is currently based in Vienna,
Austria, where she works as a consultant for the United Nations office on
Drugs and Crime. Marika is also working towards a PhD in Human Rights Law
and recently finished writing about the Western Balkans for Lonely Planet.
The founding editor of Resort & Great Hotels, Meeting Traveller and Destination
Weddings & Honeymoons magazine, ANETTE BURDEN admits to a lifelong
passion for luxury hotels. She has written about travel and the hospitality
industry from her home base in Santa Barbara, California, for more then 20
years. Her articles on hotels and lifestyle topics appear regularly in a number
of publications, including Spa and Elite Meetings magazine.
REGINA W. BRYAN is a Barcelona-based freelance writer and photographer.
When not eating tapas and exploring Europe, she is tending her balcony
veggie garden and practicing Catalan. She writes on travel and culture in
Spain and Latin-America.
A freelance journalist and former newspaper features writer, PATTI CONNOR’S
articles have appeared in a variety of publications. H sucof selcitra erutaef re
on hotels and travel destinations which have appeared in JAX Islander,
Presenting the Season, and Orange Park Magazine, among others. Patti lives
in Jacksonville, Florida, with her husband, Robert Welch, and their brood of
rescue animals.
EVELYN KANTER is a New York City-based writer, photographer and travel
guidebook author who has visited more than 100 countries and thousands
of hotels. She combines a love for soft adventure and eco-tourism with an
appreciation of the finer things in life, including the distinctive luxury hotels
she writes about.
HEATHER STIMMLER-HALL is an American-born travel writer living in
France since 1995. She has written hotel reviews for consumer magazines and
guidebooks such as Fodor’s Guide, Time Out, Expedia and France Magazine,
and is the editor of Secrets of Paris Newsletter.
BOYD FARROW is Deputy Editor of CNBC European Business and has been
a business journalist for 20 years, about the travel, leisure, entertainment,
media, fashion and luxury sectors. His work has appeared in many
newspapers, including The Financial Times, The Times, The Observer and
Screen International, which he edited between 1994 and 1998.
JOE SHARKEY, who has written a weekly business-travel column for 10
years in The New York Times, was previously an editor and reporter for The
Wall Street Journal. His work has appeared in publications around the world,
including The Sunday Times Magazine. He has written five books including a
novel. He and his wife, Nancy, live near New York and Arizona with their two
loquacious, opinionated parrots.
