WILLIAMS LAKE SALE - APRIL 21ST Well a record number of cattle today in Williams Lake as just over 2000 head of cattle were marketed here. This sale started off with an in house video sale for Alan Fridlington. 307 steers in one lot called 850 lb. all Char cross they traded to 172.00. Mike & Sandra Lepetich from Quesnel put the fire to our reg-ular sale. 41 head of 734 lb. Angus cross steers notched 194.25, the lighter steers marked 215.50. 25 head of their replacement quality 720 lb. Black & Bwf heifers raced to 221.50. Scott & Janice Meyer filled the ring with 36 steers 729 lb. fancy Angus cross steers, they marked 192.25, their 692 lb. replacement Black Angus heifers shot to 189.00. The Woodjam Ranch today with a liner load of calves, their 900 lb. steers hit 160.00. A beautiful pen of their 640 lb. Black Angus heifers raced to 208.00. Mike Nicol’s 500 lb. s/c rolled to 239.00. Springfield Ranch’s 650 lb. Black baldy heifer s sold to 208.00. Roy & Kathy McDonald’s 571 lb. Red s/c hit 240.00. Douglas Lake Cattle Co./Alkali Lake Ranch Division saw their 570 lb. s/c trade to 229.75. Gang Ranch’s 515 lb. Black heifers sold to 208.75, their 602 lb. heifers reached 204.50. Gary Ellis had 680 lb. Black steers sell to 204.50. Don Pinder had 450 lb. s/c at 251.00. John & Joyce Holmes had 449 lb. s/c mark 247.00, their 542 lb. s/c hit 239.00. A package of their 555 lb. heifers reached 195.00. 41 head in one package of their 640 lb. replacement quality heifers raced to 201.00. Al Emmons from Ace Acres today had some excellent cow/calf pairs, they traded to 2425.00. Fox Dairy Farm’s first calver Black heifers with fancy Black calves hit 2875.00, the 2nd calving pairs sold to 2750.00. Keith Cunningham had 643 lb. s/c race to 224.00. The Dunlevy Ranch today with 47 top 539 lb. Angus cross heifers, they traded to 196.25. Justin Weibe’s 564 lb. Angus s/c sold to 227.00. A sincere Thankyou to all our contributors and buyers. KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY APRIL 26TH Well a good volume again today in Kamloops with just under 600 head on offer. A real nice mix of light cattle and heavy cattle. The Buff Ranch 1651 lb. butcher cows notched 97.75. John Harrison’s 2350 lb. Black bull topped 124.50. Feeder Cattle today saw powerful quality. Larry & Eric Buff set the stage with 805 lb. steers marking 169.25. Their 610 lb. steers marked 224.00. A big package of their 710 lb. steers hit 182.00. Their pen of 718 lb. replace-ment Black Angus heifers raced to 116.50, their 671 lb. heifers powered to 178.00. The Schilling Farms 838 lb. Angus cross steers from Darfield marked 162.00. Their 744 lb. steers called 172.50. Lloyd Gavelin’s 500 lb. Red steers sold to 240.00. Wildrose Ranch of Loon Lake saw their 613 lb. Red steers sell to 229.00. The 468 lb. steers hit 263.00, and the 344 lb. steer calves sold to 260.00. Wildrose’s 517 lb. Angus X heifer s sold to 216.00 and the 460 lb. heifers brought 215.50 and their 348 lb. heifers hit 229.50. Richard & Efrum Hug had 650 lb. steers at 193.00. The Coldstream Ranch today with a liner load of steers and heifers. Their top quality 713 lb. Char cross steers hit 176.75, their pen of 35 heifers 665 lb. all Angus & Char cross they raced to 162.50, their 663 lb. heifers marked 172.25. 13 head of their 568 lb. heifer calves traded to 192.00. Len & Marvin Tonn with some beautiful Red Angus cow/calf pairs today, they traded to 2325.00. The Black & Black baldie cow/calf pairs raced to 2350.00. Bill & Janice Colvin with heavy 809 lb. Hereford steers from Merritt, they traded to 165.25. Ludie Proulx with one incredible pen of 827 lb. Black Angus heifers, they traded to 145.50.

VANDERHOOF SALE—FRIDAY APRIL 22ND
Good volume of cattle here on Friday with over 1100 head total. The majori-ty of the sale was heavier feeders like the liner load of 738 lb. steers from Tophay Agri Industries/Judd Wu of Vanderhoof trading for 180.25. His 797 lb. steers brought 166.25. Little Valley Farms/Ken and Carol Fawcett of Vanderhoof came with 160 head of good grass calves. Their 675 lb. steers brought 195.00 along with their 594 lb. heifers at 195.00 while their lighter 479 lb. heifers went up to 211.50. Muir Stock Farms/Monroe & Cindy Muir had a nice set of 717 lb. steers trading for 168.50. Vala Farms/John & Darla Vala of For t Fraser came with 101 steers, the big 805 lb. steers at 165.00 and his 694 lb. steers bringing 183.50. Also with big steers we had Johnson Farms/Jeff Johnson whose 902 lb. steers sold at 149.50 while his 850 lb. steers went to 156.25. Doug Brophy had 70 head of Red cattle on offer. His 697 lb. steers brought 186.00 and the 599 lb. grass type steers went to 213.75 while his 648 lb. heifers settled at 185.00. Gordie & Joyce Dickson had a set of 10 good replacement type Angus/Simmental cross 754 lb. heifers that ran the bid to 192.00. Butcher bulls went up to 125.00 and averaged 115.83 and cows were 79.00 to 127.00 averaging 95.25. Obviously a bit off the pace for us but we were still strong overall.
