This sensor module has 8 IR
LED/phototransistor pairs mounted on a 0.375"
pitch, making it a great detector for a line-
following robot. Pairs of LEDs are arranged in
series to halve current consumption, and a
MOSFET allows the LEDs to be turned off for
additional sensing or power-savings options.
Each sensor provides a separate analog voltage
output.

This is a multipurpose infrared sensor
which can be used for obstacle sensing, fire
detection, line sensing, etc and also as an
encoder sensor. The sensor provides analog and
digital output. The sensor outputs a logic one
(+5V) at the digital output when an object is
placed in front of the sensor and logic zero (0V),
when there is no object in front of the sensor. An
onboard LED is used to indicate the presence of
an object. Pot is used to adjust sensitivity.
