LCT/NLA SHOW EAST | HARRAH’S RESORT ATLANTIC CITY 2018 RULES & REGULATIONS
PART OF CONTRACT: These rules and regulations constitute a bona fide part of the contract for LCT/NLA Show East, hereafter called LCTSE space. Exhibit Management reserves the right to render all interpretations and decisions, should questions arise, and to establish further regulations as may be deemed necessary to the general success and well-being of the exposition. Exhibit Management’s decisions and interpretations shall be accepted as final in all cases.
1. CONTRACT FOR SPACE: Applicants forexhibit space are required to execute andforward an Application/Contract to LCTE with fullpayment for standard booth spaces and adeposit for vehicle spaces.
2. SPACE ASSIGNMENT: Space for all validcontracts in hand will be assigned based onLoyalty Program Points and then in the orderreceived. In all cases, efforts will be made toassign space in as close compliance as possiblewith applicant’s choices.
3. PAYMENT FOR SPACE: A 50% depositcorresponding to exhibit space size is due withcontract and the balance is due in full on orbefore October 5, 2018.
Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of reserved space assignments. Exhibitors will not be permitted to move into the exhibit hall without full payment and all outstanding invoices via BBM made current.
4. CANCELLATION: Payment is only refundableif show management is able to resell space andrecover costs associated. Cancellation policyapplies to all exhibiting firms. Failure to appear atthe exposition does not release the exhibitor fromthe responsibility for payment of the full cost ofspace rented.
5. SUBLETTING SPACE: No exhibitor mayassign, sublet, share or apportion his space inwhole or in part, nor exhibit any products orservices other than those manufactured orhandled in the normal course of his business, norpermit any agent of any exhibiting firm to solicitbusiness or take orders in his space.
6. EXHIBIT CONTRACTOR: LCTE will furnisheach participating exhibitor with a ServiceManual that will specify the Official ExhibitContractor and will contain exhibit instructions,shipping labels, and order forms for all boothaccessories and services required. Orders notprocessed in advance for signs, furniture, laborand other requirements must be procured at theOfficial Exhibit Contractor’s Service Desk whichwill be maintained in the exhibit hall. Allparticipating exhibitors must abide by unionjurisdiction in force at the time of exposition.
7. ARRANGEMENT OF EXHIBITS: LCTE willprovide display space as indicated on the officialfloor plan, insofar as possible, but reserves theright to make any changes necessary in theinterests of an exhibitor.
8. DISPLAY CONSTRUCTION ANDLIMITATIONS: Complete kit will be forwarded toexhibitor upon receipt by LCTE of an executedApplication/Contract with payment. Regulations
regarding exhibit specification will be included with kit. All exhibitors will be expected to review and consider all regulations prior to move-in. Please note: hanging signs are not permitted over inline spaces.
9. EXHIBIT HOURS, INSTALLATION ANDDISMANTLING: See Exhibitor Kit for completedetails.
10. EXHIBITORS’ ADMISSION CREDENTIALS:Representatives must register upon arrival at theexhibit area and at all times wear identificationbadges, containing the name of the firm thatcontracted space, which will be furnished withoutcharge and which entitle wearers to attendconference sessions. A full registration fee will beassessed for any badge replacement. No oneunder 12 admitted.
11. GENERAL REGULATIONS: No part of thebuilding shall be defaced in any manner, norshall signs or other articles be posted, nailed orotherwise affixed to any pillars, walls, doors orother parts of the building. Combustibledecorating material, gasoline, kerosene,acetylene and all other flammable or explosivesubstances are forbidden. The use of heliumballoons is prohibited. All vehicles must havebattery cables disconnected and less than 1⁄8tank of gas in fuel tanks. Fuel tanks shall havelocking-type caps or be sealed with tape. A copyof ignition key must be left with the decorator.Vehicles to be displayed must have steering anddrive shaft apparatus firmly attached andoperable during move-in and move-out. Clothand other decorating materials must pass anyflame-proofing and fire codes and ordinancesprevailing in the convention city. All packingcontainers, wadding, wrapping and suchmaterials must be removed from the immediateexhibit area and not stored under tables orbehind displays. In accordance with the city firecodes and ordinances, smoking will be permittedonly in designated areas of the ConventionCenter during installation and dismantling.
12. CONTRACTED LABOR: Prevailing unionregulations regarding use of union operators forequipment must be observed by all exhibitors.
13. NON-LIABILITY: It is expressly agreed byeach and every contracting exhibitor, his agentsand his guests, that neither LCTE nor BobitBusiness Media, nor its employees, nor itscontractors shall be liable for loss or damage tothe goods or properties of exhibitors. At all timessuch goods and properties remain in the solepossession and responsibility and custody ofeach exhibitor.
On signing the Application/Contract, exhibitor releases and agrees to indemnify the LCTE,Bobit Business Media, its managers, officers, members, sponsors, employees and agents, and save them harmless from any suit or claim for property damage or personal injury by whomsoever sustained, including exhibitor and its agents or employees, on or about the exhibitor’s display space or arising out of exhibitor’s participation in the exposition, including such damage or injury resulting in part from the negligence of one or more of the aforementioned indemnities.
14. WAIVER OF SUBROGATION: Exhibitorhereby waives and releases any rights ofsubrogation it or its insurers may have againstLCTSE and Bobit Business Media.
15. INSURANCE CERTIFICATE: It is theresponsibility of the exhibitor to provide LCTEand/or Bobit Business Media or their appointedrepresentatives, a certificate of insurance no laterthan 45 days before the show, showing evidenceof insurance as follows: Comprehensive GeneralLiability which includes Premises & Operations,Blanket Contractual, Personal Injury IndependentContractors and Products/ Completed OperationLiability at limits of Bodily Injury and PropertyDamage not less than $1,000,000 CombinedSingle Limit of Liability.
16. NO WAIVER: The failure on the part of eitherparty to insist upon a strict performance by theother party of any of the terms, covenants andconditions herein contained shall not be deemedto be a waiver by him of any breach of any term,covenant or condition herein contained. Waiverby either party of any breach by the other shallnot operate to extinguish the term, covenant orcondition the breach whereof has been waivednor be deemed to be a waiver of the right todeclare a forfeiture for any other breach thereof.The waiver by one party of the performance ofany covenant, condition or promise shall notinvalidate this contract nor shall it be considereda waiver of any other terms, covenants and/orconditions.
17. LCTE reserves the right to make suchadditional conditions, rules and regulations asExhibit Management deems necessary toenhance the success of the exposition, and todecline or prohibit any exhibit which in itsjudgment is out of keeping with the character ofthe convention, this reservation being all-inclusive as to persons, things, printed matter,products and conduct.
18. EXHIBITOR PARTY SPONSOR FEE: A$500 per company flat fee is assessed to eachexhibitor and allocated to the ExhibitorSponsored Official Party. All exhibiting companypersonnel are invited. A hosted bar and liveentertainment are included.
19. LCT ADVERTISERS: A preferred client is acompany that has contracted for 6x or greateradvertising program with LCT in print or digitalspace inside the calendar year.
LCT Advertising/Exhibiting Policy Pertaining to Conversion and Secondary Manufactured Vehicles
1. LCTE will make every effort to screenconversion advertisers/exhibitors in an effort topromote safety tested, legally alerted vehicles onLCT Magazine and at LCTE.
2. Vehicle Exhibiting Policy: All companies mustsign a sworn safety compliance affidavit in orderto be considered for show participation at the2018 LCT/NLA East. LCTE reserves the right toreview said affidavits with NHTSA in advance ofthe show and to accept/reject applications thatare not deemed compliant to FMVSS.
