SINGLE LEVER PILOT CONTROL VALVES TYPE S
Single lever pivot control valves type S
are fitted with a protective rubber cover.
They can easily be modified from one model
to another simply by replacing some of the
parts which are mounted on the lever
mechanism, inside the protective cover;
therefore installation dimensions are
common for any model.
The following chart shows a view of all the controlhandles and knobs which may be supplied with thetype S control valve. For details of each type see theHandles catalogue.
All models in the type S range can be fitted with amulti-function ergonomic handle. See next page.

SECTIONAL PILOT CONTROL VALVES TYPE M
Sectional pilot control valves type M
are particularly suitable for those
applications where it is necessary to
reduce to a minimum installation
dimensions, even when a relatively
high number of services has to be
controlled. Sectional pilot control valves
type M are extremely flexible: a wide
range of control levers is available for
any model: single units with assembly
kit or multiple units fully assembled
can be supplied; easy modification from
one model to another by replacing some
of the parts mounted on the lever
mechanism, within the rubber cover.
Type M control valves may be fitted with the followingknob types. For details see the Handles catalogue.

SUH SERIES INTRODUCTION
PILOT SUPPLY UNITS
The SUH is a direct acting pressurereducing valve which can be connectedto either one or two main circuits viaports P1 and P2. Both ports feedthrough a shuttle valve to prevent circuitinteraction. Reduced pressure issupplied to port P1 and P2.
A pre-set relief valve is fitted to preventover pressure, and the unit is suppliedwith an accumulator connection foremergency power supply. An solenoidattachment is available to act as a safetysystem and to maintain the accumulatorcharge for a longer period by preventingleakage downstream from the U ports. Also a version is available with integralfilter to protect the output line and hencedownstream components.

OIL SAMPLING VALVE
OIL SAMPLING VALVES INTRODUCTION
The David Brown Hydraulics Oil Sampling
Valve provides a permanently fitted, cost
effective solution for collecting oil samples
from a pressurised hydraulic system while
that system is running under normal conditions,
which is a recognised method of collecting
a representative sample of oil reflecting the
true condition of oil within the system.
It is also important that the oil is not
contaminated either during collection or until
it reaches the laboratory. By using the correct
valve model to suit the system pressure to
which it will be fitted this contamination free
collection can be achieved.
OPERATION
The David Brown Hydraulics oil sampling valve includesan assembly of a number of grooved discs which form anorifice of known length. By varying the number of discsthis orifice length can be controlled such that it can bemade suitable for different system pressures and allowsamples to be taken for systems of different pressurewithout the danger created by oil jetting at high velocity.
As there are no moving parts, and the oil velocity is low, there is no tendency to create contamination within theunit. All parts are non-magnetic. The unit is suitable forsampling oil from systems with pressures of up to 420bar and is suitable for any type of fluid.
The appropriate model must be specified for the systempressure. Sample bottles, with a graduated scale up to250 ml to ISO-4796, are also available.
