Page 1: Glasgow's Landmarks Audio Tour Map and Info

Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and Walking Heads have created a virtual tour to help you embark on a journey of architectural discovery. The free audio tour will give you an insight into eight historic and very different buildings: from Glasgow School of Art to Clydeport, from Glasgow Cathedral to the Glasgow Necropolis. At each stopping point experts

describe the buildings, explain the architectural heritage and tell stories about the people who designed, built, lived or worked in them. You don’t have to follow a route, just pick out points on the map, and when you reach your destination press play.

The Glasgow’s Landmarks Tour features contributions from Gordon Urquhart (Glasgow City Heritage Trust), Ranald MacInnes (Historic Scotland), Ruth Johnston (Friends of Glasgow Necropolis), Liz Davidson (Glasgow City Council, City Design), Niall Murphy (Freelance Architect), Fiona Sinclair (Glasgow Institute of Architects), Mark Bains (Mackintosh School of

Architecture) and Neil Baxter (The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland).

You can download the tour for an MP3 player or if you have an iPhone or Android device download the tour through the Guidigo app (available in the App Store and Google Play). Download from glasgowdoorsopenday.com/glasgowlandmarks or walkingheads.net/glasgowslandmarks.
