NOTE: The students major is listed as Healthcare Management Degree or Healthcare Professional Certificate until
completion of the Competitive Selection Process and acceptance into the Clinical Laboratory Technology Degree
Program. Only courses found in the student’s major are considered by Financial Aid while the student is under that
program.
Students should refer to their Admissions Evaluation to determine if they have been assigned Learning Support
Classes. All Learning Support classes should be completed the first semester.
The 8 courses below are required for Competitive Selection, and must be complete by the Competitive
Selection Deadline.
Students must complete each with a C or higher and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on these

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING CLINICAL LAB TECH COMPETITIVE SELECTION:
The CLT program will admit once each year at the Murphy Campus in Waco.
The deadline to apply for Competitive Selection is February 1 of each year.
The program cohort begins each Summer Semester.
Candidates must be admitted to the College in Good Academic Standing and Regular Status.
Candidates must complete any assigned learning support, COLL 1090 when assigned, and the eight
required courses and labs (see above) with a minimum grade of C or better; GPA must be a
minimum of 3.0 on these 8 classes (100% of process).
Candidate should complete a Competitive Selection File Review Request found on our Competitive
Healthcare Advising web page Link to File Review Form 1This form should be submitted to the
Student Affairs office by the Competitive Deadline.
Candidate should verify well in advance that the College has the supporting transcripts for any
transfer courses you wish to use for Competitive Selection.
Candidate should verify that no allied health, science, or technical courses will be older than seven
years as of the first day of the program cohort start date.

Out-of-State and Nonresident/Foreign students shall be enrolled on a space available basis and
shall not displace any student who is a resident of the State. Residents of Chambers, Cleburne, and
Randolph counties in Alabama will be considered “In-State Residents” for admission purposes.
**COLL 1090 First Class Student Seminar
Effective January 2018, COLL 1090 is required for graduation from this program if admissions eligibility
requirement is met (see Office of Admissions for exclusions). If COLL 1090 is not required due to ineligibility,
program elective should be substituted to meet minimum program credit hour requirement for graduation
(see program advisor for approval).
