Warning
Danger of eye damage due to invisible laser radiation from LTE, WCDMA, or Flexi Multiradio System Module or the EDGE Optical Converter Unit.Always switch off the laser before detaching the optical fibre from the connector.
Caution
Incorrect cables and seals may not provide secured weather protection. In outdoor installations, including the outdoor cabinet, use only tested IP65 class outdoor cableswith seals provided by Nokia Siemens Networks. This is also recommended for indoor installations.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) may damage the modules. Wear an ESD wrist strap oruse a corresponding method when handling the modules.
Overbending the optical damages the cables and can detach or damage the connectors.Do not bend the optical cables beyond the minimum radius of 70 mm.

1. Remove the ground wireand hinge pins, and detach thedoor.
2. Loosen the hinge screwsand remove the hinges.
3. Install the hinges on theopposite side of the cabinet.
NOTE: If you do not need to change the handedness of the door, skip section 3.

4. Remove the door lock-plate.
5. Install the door lock-plate on the opposite side of the cabinet.
6. Flip the door end-to-end.
7. Mount the door on the opposite side. Reinstall the ground wire after attaching the hinge pins.
Door opening direction and magnetic sensor is changed.

Lifting the cabinet
1. Attach the 4 x M12 lifting eye bolts to the lifting points.
2. Attach the hoisting belt or rope to the lifting eye bolts.
3. Lift the cabinet carefully to the desired installation location.
4. Remove the lifting equipment.

TIP: It is possible to lift the cabinet with modules installed and internal cabling completed.

Lifting the cabinet with WLHA handles
1. Align the handle screw holes with the four M5 srew holes on the side of the cabinet.
2. Fix the handles to the cabinet with four M5 screws provided with the kit.
3. Lift the cabinet carefully to the desired installation location.
4. Remove the lifting equipment.

Note that the cabinet should be attached tothe base with M10 or M12 anchor bolts, nuts, and washers (4 pcs each). The recommended anchor bolt length is 60 mm (2.36 inches). Anchor bolts and nuts are not provided with the Flexi BTS delivery and must be acquired locally.
1. Mark the anchoring bolt holes with the help of the drilling template.
2. Drill the anchoring bolts holes on the base.
3. Attach the anchoring bolts to the base.
4. Position the cabinet on the anchoring bolts.
5. Fix the nuts on the anchoring bolts.
6. Check that the cabinet is level.
7. Tighten the nuts properly (recommended 49.0Nm (36.1 ft-lb)).

1. Make sure the grounding cable is fixed to the site grounding point.
2. At the top of the cabinet, remove the screw and star washer.
3. Strip approx. 2 cm (0.79 in.) of the main ground cable.
4. If this is a NEBS installation, bring the mating surfaces of all unplated ground connections to a bright finish, using emerycloth -
(or other suitable method). Then coat the exposed ground cable conductor with antioxidant.
5. Insert the stripped end of the cable into a cable shoe lug and crimp.
6. Fit the lug to the grounding point in the cabinet and fix with a star washer and screw. Tighten M5 to 3.5-4.2 Nm (2.58-3.10 ft-lb). Tighten M8 to 8.0-10.0 Nm (5.9-7.37 ft-lb).

Recommended installation order

Modules are installed according to instructions.
Check list
1. Push the front part of the guide plate in place first, and then the back part.
2. Fix the cage nuts according to the configuration.
3. Slide the first module in.
4. Fix the module to the cabinet with screws.
5. Repeat for each subsequent module.

External antenna feeder cables are connected.
Cables are routed, connected and tied correctly.
External transmission cables are connected.
External power feed cable is connected.
All cable rubber seals are firmly in place.
Cables are routed downwards from modules.
Cabinet door is closed and locked.
