LUMENTILE-LUMinousElectroNicTILEisaEUfundedProjectthatwantstoexploitfrontierelectronicandphotonictechnologiestodeve-lopanewgenerationofmodularluminouscomponentsfordesign-dri-venapplications,namelyanelectronicluminoustile.Thefinalproductwillbean“on-the-fly”highenergyefficientceramictilecapableofdisplayinglights,colorsandimagesforhorizontal(floor)orvertical(wall)applications.
Theintegrationbetweenthephotonicsandelectronictechnologiesononeside,andceramicmaterialsandstructuresontheothersidewillpavethewaytothedevelopmentofrevolutionaryproductsthatcanfindwidespreadapplicationsindifferentareasandsignificantlyimpactineverydaylifeinafewyears.
LUMENTILEProjectisfundedbyHorizon2020,theEUFrame-workProgrammeforResearchandInnovation,witharound3M€anditwilllastfor3years,fromMarch2015toFebruary2018.
Three new products
LUMENTILE WALL LDR LIGHTINGThismodelwillbeinstalledforlightingscopesandwillintegratehighpowerwhiteLEDs.ThegesturesensorswillpermittoturnonandoffthelightortovarytheintensityofthelightItissuitableforitsintegrationintheinteriorofoffices,housings,retailsareasandanyotherindoorapplicationswhereacustomizablelightingsystemisdesired.
LUMENTILE FLOOR LDR COLOURDecorativescopeforsmart&activepaths.Thissystemiscapabletogeneratesings,paths,artisticscenariosandothermultiplelightingsolutionscreatinganaddedvaluefortraditionalceramicfloors.Thepressuresensorswillpermittodetectpersonswalkingontoit,givingthepossibility,forexample,tochangethecolorofthetilesoncesteppingonitanddefiningspecificpathsaccordingtoaHumanMachineInterfaceApplication.
LUMENTILE WALL HDR VIDEOTheobjectiveofthismodelistodisplaylargevideosinemblematicbuildingswithdecorativescopes.Thevideotileproductisintendedtobeapermanentandruggedizedbuildingcoverinstallation,abletorealizeagiantvideowithrefreshrateadequatetoHDvideostreaming.
