Educational Talent Search provides academic, career, and
financial advising to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high
school and continue on to the post-secondary school of their
choice.

Eligibility Requirements
ETS is looking for students who are committed to attending ETS activities and serious about attending and graduating from college. In addition, students must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
2. Attend one of the target schools:
3. AND meet one or more of the following: • Considered a first generation
student • Meet the Federal TRIO Income

College Preparation
Students will receive informative
workshops on college admissions, financial
aid, and college enrollment. Assistance
with college applications, college admission
tests. Student will be introduction to
college outreach programs such as EOP,
EOP&S and SSS.
Financial Aid Assistance
Assistance in completing the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). Financial aid literacy workshops.
Assistance in applying for scholarships
Culturally Enriched Field Trips
Students have numerous opportunities
each year to visit museums, cultural
events, and various college campuses
throughout California. Whether it’s a one
day tour of UC Davis and Sacramento
State or the overnight tours to various
campuses, we will make sure they get a
real college experience.
Program Services Through the multiple services provided by ETS, we help our students achieve a post-secondary education. We motivate and educate our students with quality information covering multiple educational subjects. Services include, but are not limited to tutoring, college visits, and mentoring.

Study skill workshops, academic advising
sessions, and study skills inventories to
help students develop their skills and
improve their academic performance.
ETS works closely with school sites to
ensure students tutoring needs are being
met by the provided school site resources.
Our Mission Educational Talent Search is a federally funded program offered through Woodland Community College. The mission of ETS is to help motivate, support, encourage and expose students to experiences that will enhance their potential to succeed on the secondary level and in a higher education institute of their choice, while also promoting personal growth and cultural diversity.
